The Every Other Day Diet – Lifestyle Plan – Day 13

I am feeling so great following The Every Other Day Diet – Lifestyle Plan! I had a busy day and was kinda concerned about how I was going to manage to eat all the healthy foods that I intended. I had to take my daughter to swimming and then had some other errands to do. It may have taken me an extra 5 minutes to prepare but I did it!
The Fit Chic
I knew that I was going to be in the car a lot so I prepared some oatmeal mixed with strawberries and warmed it up in the microwave before I left. It was still warm when I ate it in the car an hour later! I was pleasantly surprised! Cold oatmeal is not greatest…I also grabbed an apple, some tuna in a bowl, and of course my water bottle! The water goes everywhere with me! Often I realize that it is not food that I need, but water.

Today, I had a ‘day off’ from my exercise routine. I am following The Fit Chic’s Year of Workouts. This was so needed and I really enjoyed knowing that I could relax my muscles.
The Every Other Day Diet
I ate reasonably well. I had some shepherd’s pie around noon instead of later in the day. I wanted to be sure that I had any starchy carbs earlier in the day. I know that I mentioned I would weigh myself and report my fat loss to you…well I still haven’t done it! No I’m not scared of the results, actually I’m quite confident that I have lost some fat. However, I want to know that I’m getting an accurate reading. Whenever I think of getting tested either I have just eaten or drank too much or not enough water. All of these factors will lead to an inaccurate reading. Okay, I will write myself a note to remember!

Cheers to health,

Angie

Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan Journal-Day-12

Today I am really feeling the benefits of following the Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan. When I was working my abs it felt amazing compared to doing them with over 6 pounds more fat covering them. To me the satisfaction of that feeling is enough to drive me to fat loss success. I want more of it!
The Fit Bastard
I have noticed during this nearly 3 week journey, that I feel my absolute best when I consume more vegetables and fewer starches. I’ve never been a big fan of vegetables. I’ve always had to mask them in my meals. But all that has changed.

Most of my veggies are consumed through large salads. There’s been a huge benefit to following the Every Other Day Diet with my wife Angie. She’s been incredibly creative with our salads and she makes them so darn tasty. Today she experimented with a fiesta type salad that had my taste buds doing back flips in my mouth. I can’t wait to eat another one. I usually add chicken, tuna, or hard boiled eggs to my salads to make them even more satisfying. Honestly, I’m totally addicted.
The Every Other Day Diet
I mentioned that I trained my abs today. Just 5 minutes worth and they were fried. Again, that’s all I train abs for an entire week. Remember, there’s no need to do 1000’s of sit-ups every day. Please don’t do that.

Following The Fit Bastard’s Year Of Workouts I just completed the second week of the first month of Fat Burning Workouts. In addition to abs I also worked my shoulders. I was in and out of the gym in 18 minutes. I feel sorry for those poor souls who were still slaving away on the treadmill and not getting any results.

I’ve been getting in a bit more cardio through biking and brisk walks. Today I rode my bike for 35 minutes. This is upper level moderate pace cardio. I do it because I enjoy it and it clears my head. I’m going to start incorporating some shorter high intensity interval training for my cardio very soon. That’s when the fat burning really kicks in for me. But for now my cardio is all about having fun and clearing my head.

Angie and I have mentioned how we don’t even feel like we are on a diet. We are not stressing out over what to eat or counting calories. I know this is a big reason why my body has become so efficient at burning fat right now.

Here’s a paragraph from the Every Other Day Diet…

“Most diets generate stress. Ironically stress inhibits fat burning. Stress can shut down the biological process necessary to burn fat efficiently as well as trigger the cravings and binges we have all experienced. The Every Other Day Diet is different because it was designed from the ground up to address the effects of stress on dieting. Our approach is virtually stress-free and therefore very effective.”

The Every Other Day Diet – Lifestyle Plan – Day 12

Just a quick update today on how my eating is going…I just really have a hard time calling this a diet! I am EATING ALL THE TIME! I am following The Every Other Day Diet – Lifestyle Plan. Today for breakfast I had 2 eggs, one yolk because I don’t like eating the yolk all of the time. I also had a bit of my sons leftover pancake. It is not the best carb, however I just had a small piece.
The Fit Chic
I put in an intense bicep and tricep workout from The Fit Chic year of workouts today! Wow, my arms were shaking after. I didn’t notice until I brushed my teeth and I could not keep them steady. That’s good though, it means I really pumped the muscle and followed through the entire range of motion.

Working out is taking on new meaning for me because I am currently taking the ISSA Personal Fitness Trainer course. Now whenever I workout I am more focused on each muscle and I make it a point to really feel each muscle and joint moving. I think it helps me to get a better workout in terms of intensity. I do not rush my workouts anymore, which is likely why I am getting more of a burn…it’s awesome!
The Every Other Day Diet
After my third meal today, I waited about an hour and went for a very intense 20 minute bike ride. It was so great because the wind gave me a ton of resistance. I made it a point to do an interval workout. So I would pedal as fast as I could for 30 sec. and then went at an easy pace for the next 30 sec. I really worked my quads and butt! Felt fantastic.

I love to get my workouts done fairly quickly since I have more of a busy schedule right now. However, I know that even though I only spend between 20-40 min. on exercise daily, I am getting in such high intensity cardio plus weight resistance. My exercise routine along with following the Every Other Day Diet Plan will give me the results I want.

Well, I must get dinner ready…have an awesome day! :)

Cheers to health,

Angie

I baked Shepherd’s Pie last night for dinner so I ate some of than earlier in the day instead of at dinner time since the potatoes are white and considered a starchy carb. For dinner today I will have a fresh salad with lots of veggies and some tuna in it. I may even add some beans…mmm…that is a good idea!

Every Other Day Diet Lifestyle Plan Journal – Days 8-11

Wow, it has been a very busy past couple of days and I’m finally reporting in on my journey while implementing the Every Other Day Diet – Lifestyle Plan. Day 8 was my cardio day. I am following The Fit Chic’s year of work-outs. I actually woke up just before 7am to hop on the bike and get in my 10 minute’s of intense cardio.
The Fit Chic
Yes, that’s right…only 10 minutes! I felt so invigorated afterwards. I love when I get up early to do this because the kids are still asleep and once I’m finished I feel that I accomplished so much. I don’t have to try to fit my cardio in for the rest of the day and that’s a great feeling!

I always seem to have a great start to my day when I do this. I feel more energized the entire day. I then had some eggs and a piece of whole wheat toast for breakfast. I ate so well the rest of the day and followed the plan. A great day!
The Every Other Day Diet
The following morning was another ‘Burn Day’ for me…however I was really motivated to eat well because the next day Scott and I were eating out for dinner to celebrate our 8 year anniversary! I decided to hop on the bike again today after experiencing such a ‘high’ from pushing myself on it the other day.

Again I did my 10 min of intense interval training. I also did a couple minutes of a warm-up and cool down. I following my work out with working my shoulders and ab muscles. This was a super set routine from The Fit Chic’s year of workouts. I had completed my cardio and weights in about 35 minutes.

I love that it is possible to work out and see results without having to spend hours at the gym. I can already feel that I am losing some body fat because my jeans are more loose. That reminds me that I should hop onto the scale for a weigh in tomorrow.

On Day 10 , my ‘feed’ day, Scott and I did go out to a beautiful restaurant. We both had an amazing stir fry. It was so delicious! We have been to this restaurant many times and each time we are so surprised at how good the food is! We also splurged on some chocolate afterwards. I even had a few rye and cokes!

Wow, how is that for a ‘feed day’ I should have called it my Toxic Day! Lol…however, I rarely drink alcohol and I know that a few mixed drinks are not going to stop me from achieving my goals. I really want some defined abs and thigh muscles…I know I can achieve this. I just have to keep envisioning my ‘new’ body.

Okay, I am going to sign off now and get some much needed rest!

Cheers to health,

Angie

Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan Journal-Day-11

Day 11 of the Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan is coming to a close and I’m ready for a great night sleep so my body can repair itself and become the best that it can be. After celebrating our anniversary yesterday and consuming those beers, I’m feeling a little groggy and tired today, but that didn’t prevent me from getting in my workout and cardio.
The Fit Bastard
Today I worked on Back and Biceps from the second week of The Fit Bastard Year Of Workouts. It was a great workout. My back and bi’s were pumped and I was out of the gym in 20 minutes right on.

I then fueled my muscles with some left over chicken stir fry from last nights dinner. I must admit today I had too many starchy carbs and not enough salad and veggies. Not to mention the cupcake that Angie brought home from a Halloween party which I just could not resist. “It’s just one tiny little cupcake after all”, I told myself. Well this may not do much damage to my overall results, but that certainly isn’t the attitude that I want to take from now on.
The Every Other Day Diet

I later hopped on my bike and went for an exhilarating ride in the beautiful fall weather. Once again the wind on the way back was treacherous. I didn’t push myself too hard because my legs are still sore from Fridays leg workout.

We ate our version of Shepherd’s Pie for dinner with white potatoes, lean ground beef, creamed corn, and cream of mushroom soup. Not the absolute best of choices at that time of day, but all and all a pretty good meal.

By the way, here is my favorite healthy meal which I seem to eat any time of day…

I want to wrap things up here with another line from The Every Other Day Diet book. Jon says:

“Try Saying This Out Loud…

I love myself so much that I now demand a life of health, vitality, and leanness!”

Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan Journal-Day-10

Today is a feed day in our Every Other Day Diet Plan for both Angie and I and we both had the opportunity to eat a reward meal. We went out for dinner to celebrate our 8 year anniversary and we both chose a healthy meal and splurged on some chocolate for dessert.
The Fit Bastard
For the first time in a very long time I had a few light beers. No regrets on this. It happens so infrequent that I never get upset at myself for allowing this toxin into my body. I made sure to consume plenty of water afterwards.

All in all it was actually a pretty darn good eating day. Angie and I went for a nice brisk walk first thing in the morning before breakfast. It was a nice Autumn morning, our favorite time of year. I definitely felt very refreshed after this walk.

Today was a scheduled day off from the weights to allow my body some time to recover from the punishing workouts that I just put it through the past 2 days.
The Every Other Day Diet

Here’s some more words on WILLPOWER from Jon Benson:

“Being lean takes a certain degree of willpower. However, diets based on willpower alone will almost always fail. The body and mind are powerfully wired to eat. Depriving yourself of this basic need over long periods of time – otherwise known as ‘dieting’ – is a tremendous mistake for the vast majority of people. Dieting improperly can set your body up to store even more body fat than before, especially once you resume your normal eating patterns.”

Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan Journal-Day-9

I feel like body fat is being blow torched off of me after 9 days on the Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan. I did happen to sneak a few homemade chocolate chip cookies today when I wasn’t supposed to, but hey, they were made with Chickpeas, they must be decent for me ;) I would like to share a little excerpt from The Every Other Day Diet…

The Fit Bastard
It’s about Deprivation which people experience with most diets. Here’s what Jon says:

“If you take a farm yard dog, once raised with infinite space in which to run, and put him in a fenced back yard, he will do just about anything to get over that fence. Take the fence away, and the same back yard will feel much less like a prison despite the smaller size in relation to the farm. In fact the dog will probably just sleep on the back porch, just like he did on the farm. He knows he can roam, but he chooses to stay at home where he is most comfortable.

Knowing that he cannot roam is what causes the desire to escape.”

I’ve said it many times in the past couple weeks. I do not feel like I’m on a diet. I do not feel restricted. It’s because of this freedom from counting calories and following strict eating methods that I do not feel the urge to escape from this way of eating.

My legs have finally recovered from last Fridays 25 minute leg workout from The Fit Bastard Year Of Workouts. So it was time to train them again and yes I have a feeling that the next 5 days will be much like last weeks. It really hit me after 48 hours and I had to hold onto the railings to go down the steps. That’s all from just 2 leg exercises and 1 calve exercise.

I pretty much stick to a lot of the same foods. There’s a lot of variety that you can have with the Every Other Day Diet Plan, but I just really like certain staples in my meal plans and I don’t really have to think about what to cook. Plus everything is really fast to prepare.
The Every Other Day Diet
My staples are usually, whole eggs, egg whites, loads of veggies, chicken, fish, flaked canned tuna, sweet potatoes, and oatmeal. I prepare these foods differently every time and I do add in different foods here and there, but personally I love all those foods that I just listed and have no problem eating them all the time.

Even more important I drink at least 10 cups of water every day. I do notice that on the days where I don’t get enough water intake I find myself looking through the cupboards for food to eat.

But since I have been following The Every Other Day Diet Plan I have become much more in-tune with my body and the signals that it’s giving. I know that when I’m looking through the cupboards for something quick and easy to eat I am most likely thirsty and that’s been the case each and every time.

Angie and I went for a nice 45 minute walk today. It was exactly what I needed after a challenging and intense leg workout. It felt great to get moving.

If you are feeling much like the caged in farm yard dog on the diet program that you’ve been following, I just want you to know that there is an incredible alternative that will free you from this prison. It’s the Every Other Day Diet Plan.

Halloween Fat Burning Workout

One year ago I created a Halloween Workout that is a quick and intense workout using 2 pumpkins and 2 bails of hay. My point was to prove that you can achieve an incredible workout any time and anywhere. Another key point is to have fun with your fitness program. Lack of equipment, space, or time should never hold you back from achieving your dream body. This was the first video that I ever created and watching it over again sure brings back memories. Some I would like to forget, like being 20 pounds heavier. Let’s revisit this fun and effective workout shall we…

This is an interval training type of workout. I grouped a few resistance training exercises with some quick and challenging cardio movements to really get the heart rate going. The entire session took about 10 minutes and had me sweating as you will see in the video.

These pumpkins were only 10 pounds and you could easily increase the intensity by using heavier pumpkins or increasing the duration of the cardio interval segments. You could also hold the pumpkins while doing the squats, lunges, or even during the interval segment.

If you are in great shape and you want to get even more out of this workout you can repeat the cycle 1 more time.

If you celebrate Halloween and use bails of hay and aren’t sure what to do with your decorative pumpkins once the big event has passed by, have a little fun and create your own exercise routine with them.

I encourage you to be creative with your training. Have fun with your programs. Don’t be afraid to experiment. Get outdoors and enjoy being active in the fresh air.

And by the way I like to keep my videos real and show the human side of me. While making this workout video my daughter was crying because she had a runny nose. No I wasn’t ignoring her. Angie was right there taking care of her ;)

Have a wickedly awesome day!

Scott Tousignant-George Bush’s Newest Secret Service Agent

Scott Tousignant aka “The Fit Bastard” and a Canadian has traded in his professional fitness career to become George Bush’s newest secret services agent. Scott was basically thrown into the line of fire by guarding the President at a large conference in San Fransisco. Below you will see several pictures of Mr. Tousignant keeping a careful watch on the audience to be absolutely certain that nothing unexpected would occur.

Alright, Alright! The jig is up. This pictures were taken from an event that I attended in San Fransisco back in September. I had the honor of participating in this incredible hour of entertainment with the best George Bush Impersonator that I’ve ever seen.

I had dinner with him later that night and I had to keep reminding myself that it really wasn’t George Bush.

So no I have not packed in my fitness training bags and traded them in to guard the President of the United States, but it was fun imagining it for a moment or two.

The 2 amazing people that you see in the picture below are my mentors Deb and J.P. Micek. The are the authors of Secrets Of Online Persuasion and the creators of the blogging software that I use www.i360blog.com

J.P. was up there guarding the President with me. We had an absolute riot. I was amazed the next day people came up to me and asked me if I saw the amazing show the the George Bush impersonator did. They had no idea it was me up there on the stage. That cracked me up.

Never did I imagine that I would be up on stage with a George Bush impersonator. You never know what may come your way. Opportunities are always knocking. You just need to be aware of them.

Have a totally wickedly awesome day!

Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan Journal-Day-8

Today I took some measurements after completing my second week on the Every Other Day Diet Plan. Although I had some slip ups and really didn’t give 100% effort this week I still managed to obliterate 1.5 pounds of pure fat from my body. Is that ridiculous or what? I mean if you would have saw how many chocolate covered almonds I had that one day there’s no way you would think that it’s possible to still lose weight.

The Fit Bastard
I’ll post a new picture up soon, but I just didn’t think it was necessary after 1.5 pound fat loss. There is no way that this can be a diet. I am so far from depriving myself and yet I still discard fat on a regular basis. I am constantly satisfied. I’m never searching for food. The majority of the time Angie and I don’t even realize that we are on a plan.

So let me give some advice to all of you who are following this plan along with me. I do highly recommend that you go through the detox phase. I feel that it really primed my body to burn my fat stores.

Although Angie read through the entire book she was still a little confused as to how she should structure her meals. Maybe it’s because I read the book 3 times already that the answers seem so obvious.
The Every Other Day Diet
So for those of you with the book in front of you right now there are 4 pages in there that make this entire process super simple or “The Easiest Diet On Earth”.

The EODD Weekly Meal Charts are the most important pages in my opinion when it comes to know what you should be eating. For each meal they break down how much carbs, protein, and veggies you should consume.

The next best page would be the illustrations that show exactly what a portion size is.

Then there is the page with the list of all the options of food choices for each food group.

And then there are all those excellent recipes.

I encourage you to read the book more than once and really get a grasp of the program, the science behind it, and how to become mentally strong as well.

Today I am on the second week of The Fit Bastard Fat Burning Phase and I worked my chest and triceps. Angie had a friend over and when I got back home in less than 30 minutes our friend asked where I was. When I told her that I just did an intense workout she responded with, “I would have barely had my shoes tied in that amount of time.”

It just goes to show that so many people are wasting precious hours of their time in the gym and usually have very little to show for it.

I am committed to having an absolutely amazing week incorporating both long duration cardio, HIIT cardio, weight training, the EODD plan, and some serious mindset training. There will definitely be a new picture next week with some serious progress.

Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan-Day-7

Right on baby! This is Day 7 of my journey on the Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan. Today is cardio day. I went out on an awesome bike ride for 30 minutes. On the way home I felt like I was going backward the wind was so strong. I’ve had a fantastic day of eating and my energy is on hyper drive!
The Fit Bastard
I loaded up on the veggies today and it really showed in my overall energy and feeling tight and lean. Getting back to some cardio felt fan-frickin-tastic! I played hockey tonight as well. It was very intense.

I’m looking forward to doing my measurements tomorrow and sharing them with you. Although it was not a perfect week (you should never strive for perfection), I still feel that I did well and made some progress.
The Every Other Day Diet
I have really appreciated all the comments, feedback and support. There’s one comment that I wanted to share with you and add my insight;

“While everyone loves keeping up with your journey on this program in your heart you are on this program to meet your goals for you. Feeling like you let us down because gee imagine you are human and you had a small slip up is a negative feeling. Since we’ve now accepted that you are human, look at it like this. With any program it is a learning experience. You slipped up, but it didn’t hold you back. You gathered knowledge from it, moved on, and used that knowledge to help yourself achieve your dream body.” – Christie

I really appreciated those words and everything else that you said Christie. If you read the post where I first mention my slip up you will notice that I say I slipped up and feel no guilt at all. I absolutely learned from that experience. I love challenges, setbacks, and slip ups. They always provide me with an opportunity to grow and drive forward.

I would like to give you a little more insight into my goal. By slipping up and feeling like I let you down, I let myself down… (I don’t mean like depressed down… It’s more like, ‘You’ve got to try harder Scott’ kind of down.) My goal is to be the absolute best role model for you and to give you the most honest evaluation of this program. That seriously means a lot to ME and is a HUGE driving force for ME.

I’m so used to setting goals where the driving force is to look great and feel great. But you know what? It feels absolutely totally frickin amazing to hear these comments back from all of you and to know that I’m having a positive impact on your life.

I’m in this for YOU! Tell me what you would like from me and I’ll deliver it to you. How can I best help you? How can I have the biggest impact on your fat loss success? All of this drives me man. I’m passionate about this.

So having my goal be about you, is actually about me. Isn’t that the best Win-Win situation you’ve every seen? I want us all to come out winners here.

By the way, I’m very excited for Saturday night. Both Angie and I get to have a reward meal so we are going out to dinner for our 8 year anniversary to a nice Thai restaurant and to a nice little coffee shop for dessert. We’re really looking forward to that.

But for now it’s all natural baby and I’m loving it!

Every Other Day Diet Lifestyle Plan-Day-8

Hello there, Angie here and reporting on Day 8 of the Every Other Day Diet Lifestyle Plan. I’d say that this was another successful day… Now the only reason why I hint at some doubt about calling it ’successful’ was because I baked some chocolate chip cookies today and well you can fill in the blanks, right?
The Fit Chic
Of course it doesn’t help when my mind is telling me they are healthy because I added chick peas to the recipe. Yes, that’s right chick peas. They were delicious! However, I know I should have stopped at two but I think I had closer to 5 or 6. Ooops. But, at least I was getting some extra protein and fiber, right? So a bit of a slip but I still feel really good about my day. I ate super well at all of my meals.
The Every Other Day Diet
For breakfast I started my day with 2 eggs and a piece of whole wheat toast. About 3 hours later I had some cottage cheese, a muffin, and some broccoli. Another 4 hours later I ate some tuna and sweet potatoes. (I had a friend stop by and I was distracted. I should have eaten at the 3 hour mark. I was really hungry and waited too long.) I had about 2 tsp. of mayonnaise added to the can of tuna. For dinner I ate fish (rainbow trout) with cooked broccoli and fresh cut up veggies. I will then have my large salad before bed.

I feel fantastic and have a ton of energy! I actually woke up at 6:45am today to get in my 10 minutes of intense cardio on the bike. This really started my day in the right direction! I love waking up and hopping on the bike. It gives me so much more energy to get through the day!

I hope I am inspiring some of you to get motivated to start eating well. Remember this is a lifestyle change…:)

Cheers to health,

Angie

Every Other Day Diet Lifestyle Plan-Day-7

Hello, this is Angie and I’m reporting on the Every Other Day Diet -Lifestyle Plan. I’m happy to say that I have had a much more successful day! Before I went to bed last night I found a binder, put some paper in it and wrote down my current body weight and body fat percentage. I then wrote down my goal date, which is two months from now, and what I want my body fat percentage to be.
The Fit Chic
I am aiming for 14% or less. I totally know that it is possible and I am giving myself a healthy 8 weeks to achieve it. I am being realistic, I think anyway. So I did that and I placed it on my kitchen counter where it is visible. I am also going to start writing down everything that I eat. It will make me more accountable and will make blogging this journey a lot easier for me!

After my kids are in bed, I really have little recollection of the day…can I still use the ‘baby brain’ excuse after 4 years? Lol…so needless to say, my memory is vague when I try to think back to what I ate in the morning, etc…

The Every Other Day Diet
Today was one of my “Feed Days” which means that I can consume more calories and I was also allowed to eat anything I wanted for dinner! I had pasta…mmm…and I had a couple of ‘snack size’ chocolate bars for dessert. (yes, I know, I’m eating the Halloween candy J )

I just finished off my large salad before bedtime and I feel totally satisfied. I have never been a ‘dieter’ and I don’t feel like this is a diet. When I hear the work ‘diet’, I always think of food restrictions. The Every Other Day Diet-Lifestyle Plan does NOT make me feel that I have changed my eating habits from before. That’s what is so great about it. I am just eating more healthier, wholesome foods and am more aware of the proper quantity of each food group. Another bonus is that I am not counting any calories and/or wasting time on searching for unfamiliar food items at the grocery store.

I had an intense leg work-out this morning…it was a killer. I follow the exercise routines listed in The Fit Chic’s year of work-outs. They are easy to follow, quick, intense, and can be done in the comfort of your own home! It took me 20 minutes to complete my work out today.

Tomorrow I will do cardio. I should be feeling some muscle pain tomorrow! I had my breakfast first which was a whole wheat English muffin with peanut butter and some strawberries. I waited about an hour and a half and then I did my work out. This way I had some carbs in my system for energy and my food was digested. I followed my work-out with ½ a muffin, a salad, and egg whites.

I have now consumed 5 awesome meals today, had an intense 20 minute leg work out and feel totally pumped for tomorrow! Thanks for your support!

Cheers to health,

Angie

Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan-Day-6

My energy is higher than ever at the end of Day 6 of the Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan. I didn’t get in my cardio like I was planning, but I did complete an intense 20 minute shoulder and abdominal training session.

The Every Other Day Diet
Most people are surprise to hear that I only train abs for 5-10 minutes once per week. One of the big common mistakes that I see people make is training their abs directly several times each week and sometimes even every single day. This is absolutely not necessary and doing 1000 sit-ups each day will do you more harm than good.

I get a lot o my abdominal training when I do the exercises for the other body parts that I train. What you need in order to get outstanding abs is a great nutrition program like The Every Other Day Diet, intense workouts for your entire body, and a cardio component as well. Doing sit-ups is not the answer.

I slipped up a bit today and consumed a few too many starchy carbs and the only vegetables that I ate were at breakfast with my eggs. My body sure lets me know when I don’t eat enough veggies. I definitely feel a bit more bloated at the end of the day.

That’s one of the wonderful things that the Every Other Day Diet Plan has done for me. I’ve become way more in-tune with my body. I’m not so stuck on eating every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I listen to it and I can clearly distinguish between hunger and thirst… or just boredom.

To be honest with you I feel like I’ve let you down a bit this first week on the Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan because I haven’t followed it to a T. I had that one major slip up on the weekend and today I ate a few too many starchy carbs.

The great news though is that I see my body changing and I’m sure that even with the slip ups I know that I’m ahead in the overall game.

I still don’t feel like I’m on a diet. I’m not hungry, I have no cravings (other than when I was sick for 24 hours), and my energy is outrageous. And this is the EXTREME Plan. The Primer and Lifestyle plans must be a cake walk… pardon the expression ;)

It felt great to work my abs today with 5 pounds less fat hanging on them. I totally noticed a difference in performing the exercise. It was really frickin cool.

I can’t wait to see what happens when I start incorporating cardio and really get rolling with The Fit Bastard workout fat burning phase.

There’s nothing like living the healthy lifestyle!

Dream big and achieve those dreams. Have an incredible day!
