Sale-In Memory Of Sammi

I’m trying to pull some positive out of todays experience of having to put our cat Sammi to sleep. His life was cut short before he even made it to his 3rd birthday. He truly was our 3rd child. He was more human than cat and he touched our lives deeply. It is my wish to touch lives as deeply as Sammi has ours. To pay tribute to Sammi, I’ve created a short video of some of his outrageous cat tricks, and to pull some positive out of today’s experience I’m going to hold a “In Memory Of Sammi Sale”. I’m reducing each of my three products prices to $27 Until December 3rd at 12pm EST.

In the short clip below you will see Sammi the cat play fetch with a mouse, leap up in the air for a mouse, spin in circles after a laser light, and many other adorable things. Thank you for taking the time in sharing some very special moments that are very near and dear to the hearts of my family…

I have never held a sale for my products and I’m pretty sure that I never will again. I’m very emotional at the moment and just feel like doing something to take my mind off of the pain and loss that I’m feeling at the moment.

The Fit Bastard

The sales buttons still say $47, but the price that you will pay is $27.

I was going to be making a special announcement next week, but now feels like the time to share some exciting news with you.

I’ve been busy revising my products. I’ve added a full extra year of workouts to The Fit Chic program that take 10 minutes or less each. They are very quick and intense and can be done in the comfort of your home.

I am just about done doing the exact same thing to The Fit Bastard program. As well I am in the process of creating a great take action book for all the Unstoppable Fat Loss audios to help people make the most out of the experience.

I’ve also created support communities for each of these products. So now all of you can share your experiences on the program, support each other, celebrate successes together and more.

Plus I’ve uploaded videos of many of the workouts in The Fit Chic community and will be adding more, as well as doing the same for The Fit Bastard. Unstoppable Fat Loss also has videos included in the community and I will be adding other great bonuses in there too.

And the last bonus for purchasing my products is the option to have me create a personal blog for you to document your journey to fat loss success and hold yourself accountable along the way. Plus you will be able to receive support on your blog from people outside of the individual support communities.

I will be monitoring all of these to ensure that you succeed on my programs. I’m willing to go above and beyond in order to make your experience with my programs the absolute best that they could possibly be.

I just want you to know that I’m here for you every step of the way.

But enough about the salesy type stuff. I would like to share a few more photos of our amazing cat that touched our family so deep.

This is a picture of Noelle and Sammi. These two were inseparable. Best buds. Sammi was such a big part of Noelle’s life and always will be. They shared many laughs daily and he was so darn patient with her.
The Fit Chic Sale

This is a great shot of Shayne and Sammi. Shayne was always asking us to take his picture with Sammi. Shayne always got a kick out of seeing Sammi do wild and crazy tricks.
Unstoppable Fat Loss Sale

Last but not least, this was Sammi dressed as a clown on Halloween. Did I mention how patient he was. If only you could see all the pictures that we have of Noelle playing dress up with him.
Fit Bastard Sale

Sammi you are in our hearts forever. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

And thank you for allowing me to share this moment with YOU.

Cherish each and every moment that you have on this planet and cherish those around you.

Have an absolutely amazing day!

Does The Every Other Day Diet Plan Work?

In my opinion actions speak louder than words. It’s easy for people to say that a diet program is effective, but I like to actually see the results before I believe it. This is what my wife Angie and I are doing for you. We are applying the teachings of The Every Other Day Diet Plan and documenting our journey each and every day. Rather than having us tell you how totally awesome the program is, we want to prove it to you by sharing and showing our results. So just how effective is the Every Other Day Diet Plan?
The Every Other Day Diet
Both Angie and I have to invest in belts and new cloths because our pants are literally falling off of us. I’ve obliterated 10 pounds of fat from my body in the first month and Angie’s abs are starting to very cut.

Here’s some photos…

Angie after 4 weeks on the program… the abs are starting to pop out
Every Other Day Diet

Angie and I have put together a video discussing how we’ve optimized the program as well as why Angie hates dieting. We hope that you enjoy it.

The impressive thing is that we really don’t have a lot of weight to lose to begin with. My point is that when you are already pretty lean it is often much more difficult to burn those last remaining 10-20 pounds from your body than it would be for someone who has to burn 100 pounds of fat from their body.

Scott’s embarrassing before picture :( I really didn’t want to post this up because I was ashamed that I temporarily let my business life consume me and my body fell apart.
Every Other Day Diet

The best thing about the Every Other Day Diet Plan is that I’m burning pretty darn close to 100% fat as opposed to most diet plans where you would lose mostly water weight and muscle in the first few weeks. I’ve been monitoring this very carefully and I take multiple measurements with calipers and my very expensive bio-electrical-impedance scale. Many times I just give my head a shake when I see the results.

Jon Benson and Janis Hauser have done a tremendous job of creating a diet program that will fit into anyone’s lifestyle. Angie and I give 100% praise to The Every Other Day Diet Plan and recommend it for everyone. But hey, don’t just go based on what we say. Go by our results. Realize that we are no different from you. If we can do it so can you.

Scott after 4 weeks on the program and over 10 pounds of fat loss

Look for our updated pictures every Friday. This is our commitment to you. And we will give updated videos as well.

Thank you for sharing in this journey with us. We hope that it has a positive impact on your body and your life.

Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan Day 26

The Every Other Day Diet Rocks! Angie and I were talking about the benefits of this nutrition system today and how easy it is to follow. Theirs simply guidelines that are right in front of you. All we need to do is take a look at the categories of foods (carbs, protein, fats, veggies), that we are supposed to eat for that meal and the portion size, flip the page over to see the list of foods that we can choose from each category and just decide which ones we are going to choose. They even give a significant list of recipes that we can use too. No counting calories… No STRESS… That’s my kind of diet!
The Fit Bastard
Earlier in the week Angie and I were talking about how we haven’t even followed the plan with “perfection”. This is important! There’s no such thing as perfection. Don’t aim for it. I’ve had several days where I ate mini chocolate bars when I shouldn’t have and Angie has pretty much had some sort of treat nearly every day. She’s got great control and can just have one cookie and be satisfied.

The great news…

Even though we haven’t followed the Every Other Day Diet Plan “perfectly”, we are experiencing excellent results. Our bodies are changing, we’re burning fat, our cloths are falling off, and we keep checking each other out and admiring the excellent progress that we’ve made.

I have to admit that it is a turn on to just see a woman taking care of herself. It’s not even the results that turn me on, (although it does add to it), it’s just the fact that Angie is doing what she can to make her body and life the best that it can be.

I will be the first to say that women are the ones that make family what it is. When Angie takes care of herself, exercises, eats well, gets her rest, she is a happy woman and in turn we are a happy family. If she goes a period of time without working out, I can tell that her mood changes and in turn, I become a bit more short and impatient. When I don’t exercise I become exactly the same way and it doesn’t take long for my mood to change.

Exercise and nutrition play a huge role on your mood and impact your life beyond what you can comprehend. It’s so important that you make this a priority in your life because it affects everything else that you are doing.
The Every Other Day Diet

Today I whipped up a few whole eggs with diced up green peppers for breakfast. My next meal was a pre-workout meal, which consisted of tuna, broccoli, cauliflower, sweet peas, and the mashed sweet potatoes that you saw me prepare in my video yesterday. I had the same meal after my workout as well. For dinner we had chicken-cabobs and mixed veggies. A few hours later I had a chicken salad.

I’ve been committed to this plan and my goal all week long. I’ve got a refreshed approach to the Every Other Day Diet Plan since I’ve nailed down my goals, been writing in my goal journal daily, and more important, I’ve changed my attitude. I was already rockin on this plan, but now that I’ve added the mindset component and have been listening to the Unstoppable Fat Loss audios there’s no stopping me. I now have an intense focus and clarity and I’m excited beyond belief.

Today I listened to the Unstoppable Fat Loss Interview With John Riccio. This guy fires me up. When I see what he has been able to accomplish in terms of physique transformations even though he has Cerebral Palsy and has gone through over 50 surgeries, I can’t help to think, “Wow, if he can do that with his limitations and challenges, I should be able to accomplish phenomenal results. What’s holding me back? Absolutely nothing but myself.”

After listening to that audio I had one heck of an intense 17 minute Shoulder and Ab workout. The trainer gave me a strange look as I was walking out the gym doors. “You’re done already Scott?” Dripping with sweat and totally pumped I responded, “I gave it everything I got and couldn’t do another rep if you asked me. My shirt is soaked, my heart is pounding, and I feel sorry for those poor suckers that have been plugging away on the treadmill for 45 minutes with nothing to show for it.”

I then had to use my hips to push the door open because I couldn’t lift my arm to grab the handle. I walk into that gym with a purpose and intense focus. I know what I’m there for and it’s not to socialize. I’m not there to just go through the motions. I’m there because this one single workout will contribute to my overall results. If I go at it half assed, I will get half assed results. That’s not what I want. I want incredible results and that requires incredible effort. if you can’t give incredible effort for 20 minutes 4 times each week, then why are you doing this?

Today was my last day on the 4 week variation of Vince Gironda’s 8 Sets of 8 workout that I include in The Fit Bastard’s Year Of Workouts And Motivation. The next 4 weeks of my year of workouts will involve supersets. This will be incredibly intense because of the short amount of rest between sets. I guarantee there will be no dry spots on my shirt after these workouts. I can already feel the leg workout now just thinking about it. I’m in trouble ;)

With the Every Other Day Diet, The Fit Bastard Year Of Workouts, and the Unstoppable Fat Loss Audio Program, the next 4 weeks are going to produce some wicked results. I hope that you will enjoy and learn from my experiences and progress over the next 4 weeks.

Have a totally awesome day!

Every Other Day Diet Lifestyle Plan Day 26

Hi everyone…hope you are all having a great day! It’s been a really good day for me. I always try to focus on the good things…my first great thing was waking up and having a hot cup of coffee. I love that in the morning. I love to just sit, usually look through a book or magazine and drink my coffee. I did that today. Yes you can still have your morning coffee too while following the Every Other Day Diet – Lifestyle Plan.

The Fit Chic
As I stated before, I am just naturally choosing healthier foods to eat. This morning I really wanted peanut butter…so I had it! I had a whole wheat english muffin smothered with peanut butter…mmm….it was so good! This diet plan is really easy to follow and I do not find it restrictive at all. If it were, I know I would not be able to follow it. I have never followed a ‘diet’ in my life and I’m not about to now. It really is just a very simple plan to follow for a lifetime. It is something that YOU CAN FOLLOW FOR A LIFETIME.

The Every Other Day Diet

I love the way that the author, Jon Benson, has represented food portions by using his two hands, palm, and fingers. It is so simple, yet so effective. Best of all, you do not have to count any calories! Whoo-hoo!! I’ve never done that before either. There is no way I want to waste my time doing that. A large part of why people overeat is because they are not ‘in tune’ with their body. Learn to know when you feel satisfied. This is the key. Too many of us eat until we are ‘full’ and that is not a great feeling. You know when you have to unbutton that top button on your pants? Come on, we’ve all done it!

Anyway…I ate really well today. I have hid all of the Halloween candy from sight! This has really helped me out. I had an awesome cardio day too. It was totally unexpected but well worth it for myself and my kids! This morning my daughter, Noelle, asked me to chase her around the house. So I did. I didn’t expect it to go on for as long as it. We had on some great dance music and I realized that, once my heart started pumping, this was my cardio session. We both had a blast and it didn’t seem like work at all. So if any of you are reading this and you have young kids…get up and start playing tag, or kick a ball around. You’ll love how you feel afterwards.

I also burned out my legs today in 10 minutes! Seriously, they were on fire…I am following The Fit Chic’s Year of Workouts and here is the first week of drop sets:

Hope I’ve motivated you even more to reach for your dreams,

Cheers to health,

Angie

Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan Day 25

I’m UNSTOPPABLE Baby! If you thought that I’ve been achieving incredible results while following the Every Other Day Diet Plan so far, just wait until you see what’s about to happen. I’m putting it all together and I’ve never felt better. I’m following an incredible diet, workout program, getting in my cardio, powering up my mindset, holding myself accountable, and being supported by many. Can it get any better?
The Fit Bastard
I’ve got to say that today Angie and I really had a breakthrough. We’re gellin man! We were discussing our goals and why we are on this journey. We were discussing how we could actually be satisfied with our bodies right now, but we want more. We want to be the best that we can be.

Angie really opened up to me today about dieting in general and her approach to nutrition. I’ve told you before that she’s got a lot of control. Much more than I do that’s for sure. She shared some golden nuggets of information with me and we’ve decided to sit down with a video camera this week and discus many of the issues that we covered and share them with you.

I really feel like we are a team on this. Having her quit her factory job and pursue a career in the fitness industry is just totally freakin awesome in my eyes. She’s been studying for a couple months now and is now writing her exam. I knew that she was making the transition into the health and fitness industry, but today was different…

Today I felt like a true partner with her. We shot some videos, talked about health and fitness, and blogged together. Plus we were planning her personal training business as well. As exciting as the training is and her new career, it’s sharing in this blog together and going through this Every Other Day Diet journey together that excites me the most.

We’ve got a lot of fun things in store for you and can’t wait to share them.
The Every Other Day Diet
For me, today I am vibrant and full of limitless energy. I’ve been eating all the healthy and tasty food choices from the Every Other Day Diet and loving it. The Halloween candy is a thing of the past. Actually I didn’t even think about it until I just typed it out.

I didn’t get the chance to listen to an Unstoppable Fat Loss interview today, but I did spend some time writing out my goals and seriously thinking of my future. My attitude is solid baby! I believe with every ounce of my being that I am capable of greatness and that my dream body is just a vehicle to drive me to the life of my dreams.

I did an intense Back and Biceps Workout from The Fit Bastard’s Year Of Workouts. It was quick and intense. My rest periods were down to just 15 seconds. I actually thought my arms were going to explode on the last rep of the last set. I haven’t felt a pump like that in my arms and back in a while.

I think some of the guys in the gym were looking at me a little crazy. Maybe it’s because they had the time while resting on the bench for 5 minutes between sets and talking up a storm with fellow gym mates.

I could care less. I had my head phones on and was totally focused. That workout had a purpose and I gave it everything I had.

I also got in some High Intensity Interval Training on my stationary bike. I gave all my effort on this for 15 minutes. That includes the 3 minute warm up and 2 min cool down. It felt totally awesome.

One more workout before I mix things up. Can’t wait!

Time for some sleep. Have a totally awesome day!

Every Other Day Diet Lifestyle Plan Day 24

Hello all…I cannot believe I am already on Day 24 of the Every Other Day Diet – Lifestyle Plan. Following the healthy eating schedule outlined in the book has become second nature to me. I no longer need to think about what to eat! It’s great. I am just naturally grabbing healthier, leaner food choices.
The Fit Chic
You know, I have just come in from a long walk and I was listening to Scott’s audio series, “Unstoppable Fat Loss” for the first time. I know, know…I don’t seem like a supportive fan. Lol…however, I really learned something from Clark Bartram. He said, “No one is perfect. We all make mistakes. We all fail. This is normal. The real issue arises when someone decides to quit.” He was relating this attitude to following fitness goals. This is so true! Just because you have a bad day…and I have many, doesn’t mean you quit! It only means you were sidetracked and now you need to embrace those good days and rejoice in them.

It made me realize as well that I don’t plan in there to be an ‘end’ to this lifestyle plan that I am following. I am going to continue to eat healthy for the rest of my life! Therefore, I expect to have bad days. Days when I just don’t want to work out, or I just want to eat 10 pieces of pizza and ice-cream too! That’s normal…it’s okay. The real problem is when I decide to quit completely and eat like crap everyday. So I just wanted to share that with you. Oh, and that was only 1 of ,I think, 21 interviews that are on that audio. If you want to hear some of it just go to www.unstoppablefatloss.com
The Every Other Day Diet

I got in a great workout today. It’s day 1 of the second month of Fat Burning Workouts. For the next 4 weeks of The Fit Chic Year Of Workouts I will be doing drop sets. Today was I worked Chest and Abs.

Here’s the quick and intense 10 minute workout that I did today…

Hope you enjoyed it! This really does work ladies! Believe me, I don’t spend grueling hours working out. I just stay focused and have a quick, intense workout. You CAN get amazing results by following these workouts. You will progress. You will burn fat and gain lean muscle mass. The clincher? You need to follow them ritually. Decide right now to make fitness a priority in your life. You will not regret it! Okay, I need to get some sleep now! Get some sleep too…it does wonders…

Cheers to health,

Angie

Sweet Potato Meal Ideas

Sweet Potatoes are one of my favorite foods to eat. I pretty much eat them daily. Combined with a lean protein they make a perfect pre and post workout meal. It’s a myth that potatoes will make you fat. I’ve shed a lot of fat while eating many-a-sweet potato. Because I eat them so much I need a lot of variety in how I prepare them. Today I would like to show you 2 ways that I prepare sweet potatoes and turn them into a yummy healthy meal…

First let me show you the sweet potato French Fries. This puppies are deeeelicious. Actually, they taste like candy so you have to be careful not to eat too many. They are very calorie dense so a serving the size of your hand is more than enough.

I chop the sweet potato into thin strips. Then I place 2 table spoons of cold pressed extra virgin olive oil in a zip lock baggy with some ground pepper and thyme. I then place the sweet potatoes in the bag and mix them up.

After that I place them on a cookie sheet and bake them for 30 minutes at 350 degrees or until they are soft and a little crispy on the edges.

The next way that I like to prepare sweet potatoes is to mash them. I usually steam 2 sweet potatoes with one white potato. Sometimes I will add a large carrot instead of the white potato and sometimes I just use sweet potatoes.

After steaming them until they are nice and soft, I place them in a pot with a little bit (1/3 cup) 1% milk, some ground black pepper, nutmeg, and cinnamon.

Mash that all up and you have a tasty meal when added with a lean protein.

I hope that you enjoy these simple, healthy, and tasty meal ideas. I look forward to sharing many more with you.

Have a totally awesome day!

Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan–Day 24

Being 100% honest and accountable while on the Every Other Day Diet Plan are 2 major contributors to my fat loss success. Yesterdays post built up an intense drive and determination to not only develop a lean and sexy body, but to become that absolute best person that I can be. I love this nutrition plan. It’s incredibly effective and is chiseling the fat off my stomach and love handles. But it has taken me until day 23 to truly put together the full package of what will accelerate and skyrocket my fat loss results.
The Fit Bastard
10 pounds of fat loss during the first month of the Every Other Day Diet is absolutely awesome. I’m very proud of myself for this accomplishment. To this point, I’ve been following the nutrition system and following the recommendations of the book by including exercise to accelerate my results. I’ve been following my Fit Bastard Year Of Workouts without missing a single session.

I’m just about done the first month of workouts and I’m really looking forward to the next routine which begins on Thursday. For the first month I have been following my version of Vince Gironda’s 8 sets of 8 which I include in The Fit Bastard’s Year Of Workouts.

I did a blog post discussing how to do this type of training method. You can find it here:
8 Sets Of 8 Fat Burning Workout

Here’s a video demonstrating the workout:

The Every Other Day Diet also has a great mindset component and I’ve applied the powerful lessons that are taught in that section of the book. I’ve been holding myself accountable by posting to this blog.

For those of you that think mindset is just about goal setting and positive thinking, you are selling yourself short and aren’t experiencing the full benefit and potential of your mind on your body.

Jon Benson has some awesome products on mindset that have had a tremendous impact on my body and my life. I love his work. Tom Venuto is another mentor and role model of mine. He does an outrageous amount of research on the power of the mind and how it contributes to the success of your fat loss program.
The Every Other Day Diet
Like I said yesterday, although I am an expert on mindset, sport psychology, and how it will drive you to fat loss success, I was so darn excited about the Every Other Day Diet that I didn’t apply the full power of mindset to this program.

This wake up call has sparked great excitement and enthusiasm in this already incredibly ROCKIN’ diet program. Today I listened to the Unstoppable Fat Loss Interview With Tom Venuto. This audio, although I have listened to it dozens of times, reaffirmed everything that I was thinking and writing about yesterday.

Tom’s influence has rubbed off on me big time! He’s pushed me to step outside my comfort zone in order to grow as a person and be the absolute best that I can be. I can’t thank him enough for the impact that he’s had on my life.

Because of the audios and applying a large variety of mindset strategies today has been the greatest day that I’ve experienced on the Every Other Day Diet so far. Effortlessly eating natural healthy foods. Pushing myself during the High Intensity Interval Training cardio session that I had. Dedicating the time to write out my very specific goals and how my life will change once I achieve them…

More important, I’ve got the UNSTOPPABLE ATTITUDE!

When you develop this attitude your entire life changes. You feel like you can take on anything. There’s a new passion and purpose to what you are doing. You become the healthy, lean, and sexy person that you only once dreamed about. The cool thing is…

You become that person before your body even gets there.

Things are going to be changing with this blog. I’ve got a new refreshed outlook on this adventure. I want you to get maximum benefit from this so I’m opening up the doors and letting you into my life.

You will see a lot more videos of the foods that Angie and I eat and the workouts that we do. I will open up my journal to you so you can see what’s driving me to be the best that I can be. There will be weekly pictures of our progress every Friday as well.

100% accountability and 100% effort. It’s the only way to go.

Thanks for joining me on this journey. It’s about to get a little more exciting.

Please do me a favour and be a better person today then you were yesterday. It’s time for us all to grow.

You Rock and your dream body awaits you!

Every Other Day Diet – Lifestyle Plan – Days 22-23

Hello…I was out yesterday for most of the day and did get a chance to blog. I hope you are getting some motivation out of reading my blog and/or my husband Scott’s. We really want to hear that we are positively impacting your life somehow. To those of who are following The Every Other Day Diet – Lifestyle Plan I’d love to hear how you are progressing…
The Fit Chic
Health, to me, is my lifeblood. I know that if I don’t take care of my body then I will not be able to enjoy my life fully. I have never felt more fit and energized in all of my life! I am 34 years old. I was a track and field star in high school! I was the number one hurdler in the city. I truly feel that I could still run that event with the same time or a better time. Okay, no, I’m not going to go out there and do that, but you know my point. Age should never be a barrier when we think of fitness goals.

My husband, Scott, trains a man that is 87 years old! He was 80 when he started and it was his first time ever working out. Him and his wife are very active. They enjoy traveling. Since this man has invested his time towards taking care of his health he is truly ‘living up’ his senior years. They also love to go for long walks and are very involved in the community. Life really is what you make it to be.
The Every Other Day Diet
Okay now about my fat loss progress…I have been working out very ritually. This morning I hopped on the stationary bike for about 15 minutes and did my interval training. I was ready to go after that! I then had some eggs and toast. I am now looking forward to getting more of my exam completed. For those of you who don’t know, I am training to become a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer through ISSA. It’s a fantastic course…I’m really enjoying it.

I have to admit, I am sneaking way too many treats. I think it’s because I’m home and around it all day. I recently made a career move. So now that I am home I find it so much more difficult to control my eating habits. That is where the help of The Every Other Day Diet – Lifestyle Plan has really helped me. Everyone is different, but I seem to be more accountable to my eating if I keep out a food diary of what I’ve eaten and the time. You may find this beneficial too.

Thanks again for all of your support!

Cheers to health,

Angie

Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan Journal-Day 19-23

Time for my Every Other Day Diet progress report. After 4 weeks total on the Every Other Day Diet Plan this is the first time that I’ve gone a few days without reporting into you and it has totally had an impact on my success with the program. I’ve learned a lot in the past few days and I’m incredibly excited to share my insights with you.
The Fit Bastard
The last time that I posted my daily journal I mentioned that I had been eating some chocolate every couple of days which really isn’t allowed for the Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan, but is acceptable for the Every Other Day Diet Lifestyle Plan. Well for the past few days since I haven’t been posting my progress I’ve been sneaking a few mini chocolate bars pretty much daily and it’s been at the end of the day. During the daytime I’ve been great, but at night I’ve been looking for those mini chocolate bars. I have however still managed to burn nearly a pound of fat from my body this week, which is pretty darn cool.

I’ve come to several conclusions for this. First of all the reason that I haven’t been posting my progress the past few days has nothing to do with my junk food eating. A huge reason why I’m reporting my progress… good or bad, is because of the accountability factor and I’ve got to be 100% honest with you if I want to truly hold myself accountable.

It’s actually been an incredibly busy and draining week. I’ve had some very time sensitive work that all needed to get done this week in addition to my regular work. The great news is that I didn’t miss a workout and I did a few sessions of High Intensity Interval Training on my stationary bike.

So mistake #1 that I learned from and it’s something that I already knew, was do not for any reason have chocolate in the house. It’s my only weakness and if it’s here I will seek it out. If there isn’t any in the house I honestly don’t even think about it. The good news is that the kids don’t have any more chocolate left over from Halloween. The only chocolate that is in the house is from the box of mini chocolate bars that Angie bought on sale after Halloween. Her intentions were great for her. She bought them and is using them for her reward after a couple days of healthy eating. She has better control when it comes to chocolate in the house than I do.

Mistake #2 is just what I was talking about the other day. I see great results that I’ve achieved so far and I’m very happy with the way that I look even though I want to look better. I just figure that I’m making incredible progress and a few mini chocolate bars are not going to do any harm.

I’ve come to an incredible conclusion as to why I’ve been thinking this way and it’s something that I should have been aware of right from the start. I’ll share it with you in a moment, but first let me share my next mistake with you.

Mistake #3 that I learned from and this is a lesson that you can all learn from because it’s absolutely HUGE! I’ve been following what I believe to be one of the best, if not the best nutrition system that I’ve ever used. My mistake…
The Every Other Day Diet
…thinking that the best diet in the world combined with my highly effective and time efficient workouts in The Fit Bastard and The Fit Chic Year Of Workouts is enough to develop my dream body.

That’s right! The best diet and most effective workout programs are never enough to achieve your dream body. During this past week when I was extremely busy, I was relying on the diet program and my workouts to carry me through. The great thing is that the Every Other Day Diet has a serious mindset component. When I realized that I wasn’t going after my goals with 100% of my effort, I spent some time reading through the mindset component of the book.

I had allowed myself to get distracted from what really mattered to me. It was time to get it back. When ever I lose sight of why I’m striving for optimal health and simply becoming the best that I can be I go back to my most trusted resource…

The 21 inspiring and motivating audios contained in Unstoppable Fat Loss. This was the exact moment and reason for why I created this life changing program. I created it because I knew from the past 12 years of research and study in the field of sport psychology, that no matter how great a nutrition or workout program may be, you will never reach your full potential without spending just as much time on EMPOWERING YOUR MIND!

Since creating the Unstoppable Fat Loss program, I’ve listened to all 21 interviews dozens of times and continue to pull golden nuggets of life changing information from them each and every time.

I practice what I preach pretty much daily. I’ve got my vision pictures all over the place and I record everything that I do in my journal. But I hadn’t been doing that this week because I’ve been ‘too busy’.

So I started off listening to the Unstoppable Fat Loss interview that I did with Jon Benson. You can listen to a clip from it here: Unstoppable Fat Loss Interview Clip with Jon Benson

This interview really made me dig deep into the reasons WHY I am going after my dream body and what my actual goal is. My goals are much bigger than I had written down at the beginning of this Every Other Day Diet journey. If you want to read what I had originally written down you can check it out here: http://unstoppable-fatloss.com/blog/eodd-results/

I mentioned earlier in this post that I had come to an incredible conclusion. To my astonishment it didn’t hit me until I started listening to the Unstoppable Fat Loss interviews. I keep thinking to myself that I should have caught onto this right from the start, but I think the excitement of going on this Every Other Day Diet journey got the best of me and I rushed through my mindset prep work.

I’m sure that you have all been there. You’re so excited to tear the through book and get to the part that really matters… Just tell me what to eat and what to do. BIG MISTAKE!

The conclusion. I didn’t set a specific goal and I didn’t even give myself a deadline. I somewhat set a goal of seeing eye popping abs. In my opinion that’s a pretty darn good goal. But what exactly does that mean? It’s just not quite specific enough. I need a number to aim for and that number that I’ve included on my goal sheet is 6% body fat.

It’s so obvious to me now why I have been repeating to myself, “I’m looking pretty good and getting good results, I can sneak a mini chocolate bar or two.” There’s been no sense of urgency. I have no deadline. Not to mention that I was associating more pleasure with those mini chocolate bars than the pleasure of achieving my dream body.

Simply saying that I want to achieve 6% body fat and have eye popping abs is not enough. You may have heard this quote before, “A goal without a deadline is just a dream.” Basically, without setting a deadline I have given myself permission to take the rest of my life in order to achieve that goal.

So my date to achieve 6% body fat is January 4th. That’s when I’m going on a Caribbean Cruise with my family and business mentors; Deb and J.P. Micek, Mike Filsaime, Tom Beal, Donna Fox, and Paulie Sabol, along with some other great friends Simon Leung, Bob Jenkins, and more.

I want to look my absolute best on this cruise and I have the intention of shooting some workout videos while I’m there. So this is part of my reason why. But like Jon says in the Unstoppable Fat Loss audio, losing weight for a high school reunion is not a strong enough goal.

Like I mentioned in my other post the reason why I was embarking on this fat loss journey was YOU! I want to be the best role model that I possibly can for you. This really does fire me up inside because it’s totally why I do the work that I do. It’s to make the biggest impact on the world that I possibly can when it comes to health and wellness.

But, I still need even more powerful reasons why I want to embark on this truly never ending journey because it certainly won’t end once I achieve 6% body fat on January 4th 2008.

To me, when I look at pictures of my role models like Jon Benson and Tom Venuto there’s that instant credibility. They’ve done it themselves, they must know what the heck they are doing… and they absolutely do! I see their bodies and I aspire to be like them.

I want to see my picture on the cover of all my products and on all my websites so anyone who sees me for the first time will have the same kind of thoughts about me as I did towards Tom and Jon.

I’ve had the opportunity to build a relationship and trust with you over time, but for someone who comes to my websites for the first time I would like to have some instant credibility like that. Even though I’m incredibly knowledgeable in regards to nutrition, fitness, and without a doubt the field of sport psychology and motivation through all my years of schooling, study, research, and experience, having a ripped body carries even more credibility.

And since my job requires earning the trust of the people who come across my site, I need to do everything that I can in order to gain that trust. After all, my family is relying on me to be as successful as I possibly can in order to provide them with the life that they deserve.

I keep picturing myself in my dream body on the cover of my products and it excites the heck out of me.

I also listened to the Unstoppable Fat Loss Interview that I did with Rob Kottenbrock, an incredible guy who discovered just how powerful mindset is when it comes to achieving your dream body. He should know. He struggled most of his life with a weight problem and then applied these amazing strategies to burn 120 pounds from his body.

This interview inspired the heck out of me because Rob is so incredibly creative at bombarding his mind with his goals and finding ways to motivate himself on a daily basis. I’ve learned a lot from Rob. He’s applied some awesome accountability tactics to keep himself on track and it really got me fired up and wanting to do everything that I can to hold myself accountable. This blog is certainly a great way to do that, but I need to maximize it.

So now that I know what my goal is and why I want to do it, it’s now time to determine what’s the cost of achieving my dream body?

I’ve already got my workout plan set out for the next year from The Fit Bastard’s Year Of Workouts and I’ve got the nutrition plan to follow in the Every Other Day Diet. It’s now time to do 2 of the most powerful things that will drive me towards fat loss success.

The first thing is what I’ve typically been great at in the past and that is writing my goal and how my life will change once I achieve that goal into my journal twice each day. Taking 10 minutes first thing in the morning and 10 minutes right before I go to bed to write all of this out will have a tremendous impact on achieving my goal. More than you can ever imagine.

Here’s a video of how I set up my journal:

This will keep my goal and my reasons why I’m doing it at the top of my mind. It’s something that I’ve lost site of this week.

Now for the 2nd most powerful thing that I can do in order to achieve my dream body. Social Support. First of all, I am calling upon support from Angie, which I believe is the best social support that I can receive since we see so much of each other.

The other form of social support that I am going to call upon is over at Tom Venuto’s Burn The Fat Inner Circle. I will announce my goal to everyone in that amazing community. The support that I will receive there is absolutely priceless.

If you would like to experience how powerful a supportive community of like-minded people can be for you and drive you towards fat loss success, Tom has allowed me to grant you a 1 month trial membership to the Burn The Fat Inner Circle for just $1.

That $1 you spend has the potential to change your life. If this is something that interests you simply visit…

www.UnstoppableFatLoss.com/BFFMICspecial

Now it’s time for me to hold myself completely accountable to you. Every Friday I will post a picture of myself as well as a video to share my progress on this Every Other Day Diet journey. This is something that I’m 100% committed to because I know how powerful it will be for me.

I’ll also post some video clips of the workouts that Angie and I do. That should be exciting.

It’s time that I stop relying just on diet and exercise alone and apply all the knowledge that I have in regards to developing a powerful mindset.

This entire experience has really got me thinking. I’ve been reading all of your emails and comments on my blog and your support has been amazing. I would like to reward you all for following me on this journey.

But even more than rewarding you, I want to help give you that edge when it comes to your fat loss goals. Many of you have joined me on this journey and are following the Every Other Day Diet along with me. That excites me because I am completely certain that you have one heck of a powerful nutrition tool to help you achieve your goals.

Many of you are following either The Fit Chic Year Of Workouts or The Fit Bastard Year Of Workouts and those programs combined with the Every Other Day Diet are a wicked one-two punch.

But again I want to give you that edge that separates the people who continue to struggle to achieve fat loss success from those who are living in or soon to be living in their dream body.

Now I can’t give you all 21 interviews that are contained in Unstoppable Fat Loss, but I would like to give you the gift of one of the interviews. To show you just how much I appreciate each and everyone of you, I am giving you the Unstoppable Fat Loss interview with Dax Moy. The mp3 audio and the transcript.

This interview lasted nearly 2 hours and in itself is enough to change your body and your life. Unfortunately it doesn’t quite compare to the full impact that you would receive from listening to all 21 interviews, but it’s enough to give you that edge and drive you closer to your dream body.

You can download the Unstoppable Fat Loss interview with Dax Moy by ‘right clicking’ the links below and selecting ’save as’:

I can’t thank you enough for following along with me and sharing your thoughts and comments. It has meant a lot to me.

I hope that you are learning just as much from my journey as I have. I am very grateful for the opportunity to learn from my challenges. It’s been very exciting for me.

Thank you for holding me accountable. It’s a huge contributing factor to my overall success.

Keep up the great work and keep those testimonials and success stories pouring in. I LOVE IT!

The Every Other Day Diet – Lifestyle Plan – Day 22

I’m on a roll today! I’ve been non-stop, really focused, and feeling so energetic. I have been following The Every Other Day Diet – Lifestyle Plan without even thinking about it! What I mean is that, it’s becoming so routine now to choose healthier foods.
The Fit Chic
I woke up and had just handful of oatmeal with blueberries and then I made myself a nice omelet with egg whites and cut up peppers…it was so good! I then ate the rest of the omelet a couple of hours later for my second meal.

I managed to get a TON done on my ISSA course today. I am training to become a Certified Fitness Trainer! It is so fun to learn again! I am also becoming so much more confident in the fitness field now that I have a much broader knowledge base.
The Every Other Day Diet
I am very dedicated to following The Fit Chic’s Year of Workouts and today was a leg day. Wow, what a killer workout! I did some good stretching afterward and replenished my body with some potatoes and cottage cheese. I feel so good! I love when my legs feel so tight after a leg workout…I want them like this all of the time! I still have some more body fat to lose…it’ll come, I know.

Have a terrific weekend…:)

Cheers to health,

Angie

The Every Other Day Diet – Lifestyle Plan – Day 21

Okay, I’m back because I NEED TO BE ACCOUNTABLE TO YOU

The Fit Chic
I know that following the Every Other Day Diet – Lifestyle Plan is definitely a match for me. It is so flexible and easy to follow. However, I really need to blog my progress more often. I didn’t realize how much more accountable it made me subconsciously!
The Every Other Day Diet
I have been totally dedicated following The Fit Chic’s Year of Workouts. This is such a great 20 minutes for me. It’s my time to just zone and pump out any stress and/or frustration that I may be having. I really need the weights. I feel so exhilarated afterwards! My energy levels just soar and this is the time when I get so much done. I love the feeling of energy and clarity that I feel following my workouts.

Today I will workout on chest and back. I cannot wait because it always revs me up! I will fit in a nice, brisk walk in once the kids are asleep…

Cheers to health,

Angie

Being Fat Is Healthy

Living with 20 to 25 pounds of excess weight is good for your health and prevents disease is what the media is reporting in regards to a new study conducted by scientists from the U.S. Centers For Disease Control And Prevention which is published in this weeks Journal Of The American Medical Association. I guess as a personal trainer I should change my approach and bring my clients to the local donut shop and fast food joint instead of forcing them to workout and eat healthy foods. Last week I did a blog post about how carrying excess fat increases your risk of cancer. Are you confused yet??? Could you truly be healthier with 25 extra pounds on your body?
The Fit Bastard
Are you frickin kidding me? Who in their right mind would publish this crap? What were the intentions of these people conducting this study? Do they truly have your best interests at heart or are they just trying to create controversy because they know they will get serious media attention. Or maybe they have shares in the drug companies who make the pills that you need to be on because of your weight problems.

There’s a serious problem that mass media is inflicting on our health and society. They see this controversial study and they know if they publish an article on it, and even twist the truth a bit, throw in a catchy headline, people will purchase their publication because they want to be able to justify that their weight problem is not really a problem. I know 4 people who don’t typically by the local newspaper, and they bought it today because that headline on the front page caught their attention.

As soon as I walked into a personal training clients house this morning she showed me this article. And she started justifying why it was healthy for her to be overweight. She started saying how when she was skinny she always got sick and was miserable. It wasn’t being skinny that was making her sick, it was the fact that she was starving herself to be that skinny, she was eating crap and not getting the nutrients that she needs, she wasn’t active, and she was stressed.

Being skinny does not necessarily mean that you are healthy. And this client certainly couldn’t compare her health when she was skinny to the health of my wife and I with our lean and healthy bodies. First of all she may have been skinny, but her body fat percentage was high. This is what is frequently being termed as “The Skinny-Fat Person.”

Recently I’ve burned off 10 pounds of ugly unwanted fat from my body by following the Every Other Day Diet Plan and doing the fat burning workouts from The Fit Bastard Year Of Workouts. My wife Angie has been experiencing the same amazing results as I have, although she’s following the fat burning workouts from The Fit Chic Year Of Workouts which is geared to women.

We have never felt better. Obliterating that fat from our body has made an obvious difference in so many areas of our lives. But it’s not just the fat loss that is making us feel so great. It’s the fuel that we are putting into our bodies and the activities that we are doing to energize us. Our energy is absolutely through the roof.

When I had that 10 extra pounds of fat on my body I was exhausted, sluggish, self conscious, and felt very uncomfortable.

So how do scientists justify that being overweight is somehow healthy? They somehow came up with a study shows that people who are overweight have a decreased risk of dying prematurely from bronchitis, emphysema, pneumonia, tuberculosis, blood poisoning, Alzheimer, Parkinson, suicide, and falls. They go onto say that scientists haven’t actually analyzed each individual disease.

Here’s the thing. They say the exceptions to their claims are diabetes and kidney disease which just so happen to be the 2 fastest growing diseases.

Why are Diabetes and kidney disease growing rapidly…. Hmmm… maybe because our population is rapidly becoming obese?

There was one observation from the article that I read in today’s Windsor Star which was interpreted correctly. Dr. Arya Sharma, the scientific director of the Canadian Obesity Network commented “What matters more than the total amount of fat, is where that fat is located.” Sharma says that the problems are more related to abdominal obesity.

I’ve been writing articles about this for years. Even more important than abdominal obesity is whether the fat is stored just under the surface of the skin or beneath the abdominal muscles and around your organs. The later is much more dangerous and is obvious in men who have the big tight ‘beer guts’ that make them look pregnant. Men who are flabby have a reduced risk compared to the other group.

Here’s a problem that I have with one of Sharma’s comments. He says, “If you’re eating a healthy diet and you’re physically active and you have no problems related to that excess weight, well then don’t worry about it.”

My problem with this is what I hear people say is a healthy diet is way off the frickin mark. What many people believe to be a physically active lifestyle is also off the mark.

Lets face it, people are not living active and they are eating like crap. The people who are overweight are overweight for a reason and in most cases it’s because they are not eating a healthy diet.

Please don’t interpret this as being judging against people who are overweight. I’m here to help you and am not trying to put you down. I’m just really upset at the doctors who are trying to justify that it’s healthy to be overweight. And these are the doctors that are pumping you full of drugs and saying that it’s going to help you.

Bu!! $hit!

This has me so fired up because I in fact do care about you and it pisses me off to see people take advantage of you and are going out of their way to confuse the heck out of you.

I have been fortunate enough to witness an incredible amount of body and health transformations. I interviewed several people who have undergone serious transformations and overcome some incredible obstacles in my audio product Unstoppable Fat Loss. How this impacts these peoples lives, words can not express. To say that they are not any better off than someone who is 20 to 25 pounds overweight and that they are actually at an increased risk of dying prematurely is gross negligence in my opinion.

I guarantee your quality and quantity of life will be greater when you maintain a lower and healthy body fat percentage, live actively, and eat natural foods. Your entire life will improve in more ways than you could ever imagine.

Our perception of what is healthy is becoming very skewed. I actually had someone ask me if I was sick this week because I had been burning body fat for the past 3 weeks. I have not looked and felt this great in years. And guess who was asking me this question? Someone who is about 80 to 100 pounds overweight.

A little while ago a couple that I workout came back from a cruise and they told me that they were actually in better shape then they thought. Why was this I asked? They said it was because they were surrounded by so many people that were carrying more fat then they were.

I had to remind them of why they started training with me. I told them that you came to me wanting to burn off 15 to 20 pounds of fat from your body because right now you are feeling sluggish, uncomfortable, and you want to become healthier. Does all this change simply because the large majority of the world is abusing their bodies. Do we conform to this lifestyle?

No way man!

I’ve even heard of little kids being teased because they were lean. Things are getting out of hand. Instead of trying to find ways to justify why being overweight, eating chocolate, and drinking alcohol are good for your health, how about we do something that we know with absolute certainty is great for your health…

Drink lots of water, eat natural foods, avoid the man made crap or at least consume it in moderation, exercise regularly while actually pushing yourself and not just going through the motions, get adequate sleep, reduce stress, and enjoy life.

The answers are simple. It may not be easy to implement at first, but when you find that driving force and reason to adopt this lifestyle you will be UNSTOPPABLE!

Life totally rocks when you begin to live like this. It’s the life that you deserve. Go after the body and life that you desire. Don’t just give into what these scientists have to say and settle for a life where you never reach your full potential.

I want that life for you. I want you to be the best that you can be. This rant has come about because I care for you and want you to experience a life full of opportunities and excitement which come from optimal health.

You know deep down that being 25 pounds overweight is not optimal health. Go for what you want and don’t let anyone hold you back. You ROCK and nothing should hold you back from your dreams.

Live your best life possible and make today an absolutely fan-frickin-tastic day!

Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan Journal-Day 18

Bye Bye LOVE HANDLES! Yesterday I mentioned how much I’ve enjoyed seeing my leaner body in the mirror after following the Every Other Day Diet Plan for a few weeks now. Well I’m even more excited today because I took special notice of my love handles disappearing before my eyes and even more definition in my abs. I’ve also taken notice of the increased definition in my arms and shoulders.
The Fit Bastard
I’ve got to show you a picture of myself one year ago and compare the definition of my arms and shoulders. I was more bulky and rounded. Now I’m getting cut and defined. What a difference! I’ll post that picture along with my most recent one real soon. I’m so excited for that.

Maybe it’s because I’ve been experiencing such great results that I have been cheating on the meals every few days. Today I caved in and had some chocolate fudge crackle ice cream. I enjoyed every second of that. Basically it seems like I’m following the Every Other Day Diet Lifestyle Plan rather than the Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan. On the Lifestyle Plan you have a feed day after 2 days of eating healthy natural foods and lower calories. The Primer Plan allows the every other day feeding.

So I’ve got to make an important decision. If I’m going to continue to try and follow the Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan, which I know I can follow and have no problem with it, or to go with the Every Other Day Diet Lifestyle Plan which I’ve kind of been following and have experienced great success.
The Every Other Day Diet
Right now my inclination is to put in a serious honest effort on the Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan for the next week to see how I feel and what the results are like. After that time, if I feel like I want to go to the Every Other Day Diet Lifestyle Plan, I would be happy with that decision.

This is the really cool thing about the Every Other Day Diet. There are 3 different plans that can fit into anyones lifestyle. If this was a typical diet that only had 1 option and I found that I couldn’t stick to it, chances are I would probably scrap the entire plan all together.

I don’t feel like I’ve failed at all on the Extreme Plan because I look at the Lifestyle Plan and say, “Hey I would be kickin some serious butt if I was following this level of the program! And I am.”

If I can indulge in ice cream, chocolate bars, pizza, and other not so healthy things and still lose nearly 10 pounds of fat in 3 weeks, so can you. Doesn’t it sound easy? Honestly I’m floored at how my body has utilized stored fat as fuel and given me the energy and body that I deserve. Plus I can enjoy some of my treats when I want, even though I really don’t crave them anymore. It’s nice to not feel guilty about eating these things. I hate feeling restricted.

Today was a total day off from working out and cardio. It’s so nice to rest your body and let it rebuild itself. That’s when the magic happens.

Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan Journal-Day 17

The mirror has become my best friend after 17 days on the Every Other Day Diet Extreme Plan. There’s more definition in my abs beginning to reveal itself. It’s so much fun to watch your body transform before your eyes. I still haven’t made the time to snap a quick picture, but it’s coming.
The Fit Bastard
I ate incredibly well today and once again feel totally satisfied. I’ve been preparing vegetables in a variety of ways and mixing up the protein that I’m having along with it. I even had a nice bowl of whole wheat pasta with tomato sauce and ground turkey. Mmmm that was delicious. I find that whole wheat pasta doesn’t bloat me as much as bread does. My trick is to load up on the sauce and ground turkey and have just a small amount of noodles.
The Every Other Day Diet
It was an intense leg training day today from The Fit Bastard Year Of Workouts Fat Burning Program. Decreasing the resting time for squats and hack squats was deadly. There wasn’t a dry spot on my shirt and I thought my legs were going to buckle when I completed the workout. I was in and out of the gym in just over 20 minutes. I also did calves in this workout.

Earlier in the day I did High Intensity Interval Training on my stationary bike. After a 3 minute warm up I went 30 seconds as fast as I could and 30 seconds nice and slow for a total of 10 minutes, followed by a 2 minute cool down. My body temperature was cranked for hours afterward. This is a great cardio session where I experience excellent results.

Since I’ve been following the Every Other Day Diet Plan I’ve restricted my starchy carb intake to prior to and after my workouts. It felt great to consume that pasta right after the intense leg workout. It’s like they needed it to refuel and prepare for the next workout.
