Heel Slides

How To Perform The Movement

  • Lay down on your back with the soles of your feet on the floor and your legs bent at a 45 degree angle.
  • Perform a pelvic tilt by pushing your lower back flat down on the ground so there is no longer any arch above your butt.
  • While maintain your lower back firmly pressed against the ground, slowly slide one heel out. Stop at the point just before your lower back begins to arch.
  • Slide the heel back to the starting point. Relax then repeat with the other leg.
  • The idea is to continually progress to the point where you can slide your heel out to the point where your leg is straight and your lower back does not arch at all.
  • Perform this exercise daily to build a strong lower back, pelvic wall, and core. Be sure to report back to us and let us know how it’s working for you. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
