I value your readership, I cherish your trust, and I respect you and your livelihood. I pride myself on being upfront and honest with you. I’ve shared some pretty deep details about my life and in return, you have let me into your lives as well. For that, I am truly grateful.
I’m 100% committed to your success and you flat out deserve the very best information that I can deliver. Sometimes that information comes from a recommendation of another fitness professionals program. Why? Well there are at least 2 reasons that I can think of. First of all, I know that I don’t have all the answers and I don’t know every single ‘secret’ or advanced fat loss strategy. I may know a lot, but I don’t know everything.
The second reason that I recommend another fitness professionals program is because I’ve actually used it to help transform my body. When I achieve outstanding results from a diet or exercise program I believe that it’s my obligation to inform you about it.
Well right now I am experiencing some great success with a fantastic program that quite frankly I’ve become addicted to. That program is 7 Minute Muscle.
In the video below I give my 100% honest review of yet another incredibly effective program that has been created by a great buddy of mine, Jon Benson. Please take a few minutes to listen to what I have to say about the program…
Here’s the deal behind 7 Minute Muscle. There’s actually 3 different levels… 7 minutes, 14 minutes, and 21 minutes. I’m currently following the 7 minute protocol and honestly can not even imagine what the 14 minutes will be like. 7 minutes is more than intense enough for me right now.
The workouts really are just 7 minutes and you do them 5 times per week for a total of 35 minutes. But is 7 minutes of resistance training really enough to develop a great physique?
Here’s where I get seriously honest. The title of the book is 7 Minute Muscle, but to get maximum results the 7 Minute Muscle Program recommends 9 minutes of GXP (Graded Exercise Protocol) cardio several times per week. If you really want to skyrocket your results you should go for a brisk walk for 30 minutes first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
This is exactly what I’ve been following. When a program says, “For best results”, you better believe that I’m going to follow that protocol.
But…
As you may have heard, you can not out work a poor nutrition program. Which basically means even with an amazing workout program if your nutrition sucks, positive results will be hard to come by.
That’s what makes 7 Minute Muscle so great. Jon has actually created a bundled package which includes his Every Other Day Diet Plan. This is the same nutrition plan that I followed to burn 14% body fat off my physique.
7 Minute Muscle and The Every Other Day Diet Plan pack a powerful one-two punch.
I will be following both programs for several more weeks before I either go back to following my personal routines, or experiment with another program. As I mentioned earlier, I’m addicted to Jon’s program right now.
As intense as the workouts are, it’s still just so darn easy to follow. I love getting in and out of the gym fast and I love how I feel at the end of the workout. Not to mention the results that I’ve been getting.
Now for more honesty… there is a learning curve to 7 Minute Muscle. It took me about a week to choose the proper weight to lift for the exercises. It also took me a few days to get used to keeping track of the reps and rest in addition to connecting my mind with my muscles.
Oh ya! That’s another cool feature of 7 Minute Muscle. The 3 flow process. This is where you engage your mind to your workout and it begins before you even step foot into the gym. This process has definitely increased the performance of each of my workouts.
Now for even more honesty… Is the 7 Minute Muscle program for anyone and everyone? Absolutely not! Both men and women will benefit from the program, but you have to be willing to push yourself every time that you step foot into the gym.
Each week you have to improve upon your results from the previous weeks workout. You can do this by performing more total reps or increasing the weight. There’s a learning curve to this as well, but it’s a pretty darn fun thing to learn.
To sum things up and based on my personal experience with the 7 Minute Muscle program, I give it a solid 2 thumbs up and highly recommend that you incorporate it into your yearly training program, and I totally recommend that you use the Every Other Day Diet Plan in combination with it.
By the way, Jon is doing something really cool today. He’s doing an all day LIVE teleseminar event where you get to ask Jon and other experts your most pressing questions.
I’ll be the first guest speaker and I will be sharing the successes that I’ve experienced with both the 7 Minute Muscle and the Every Other Day Diet Plan. I look forward to answering your questions and grilling Jon with some of my own.

Have an amazing day!

Once again Scott, you’ve offered an educated and well thought out review
on a great product. Thanks for taking the time to put this together.
Thanks a lot Scott for your honest review of this program. I am already following Jon’s EODD so I know that any program that he comes up with will generally be an honest and good program but it helps when the program has fellow fitness experts/trainers not only review it but recommend it.
I’ll give it a shot.

Scott, I don’t know if I’m sold yet. The concept is intriguing, and your review comments are solid…but not convinced. There is some merit to a solid hour or more of working out. Seven minutes, while enough to get your heart racing and blood flowing – both valuable – but maintaing that level over a steady period of time has huge health benefits and provides much better overall results long term. So, unless this is meant as an ‘interim’ workout to prevent your usual workouts from getting boring – or a quick fix when you are way short on time but still want to get that workout in, again, I’m not sold.
I hope you’ll keep us informed of your progress on the plan and if you still feel as passionately about it in a few weeks.
Thank you, though, for your very honest thoughts and for sharing with us yet another interesting workout concept.
Have a great day!
Hey Wendy thanks for your comments. I personally live by the rule of once you hit 60 minutes of resistance training you’ve got to run the hell out of the gym. It becomes more detrimental than beneficial.

Most of the time when I’m not following the 7 minute muscle program I follow my own workouts which range from 10 to 25 minutes. I get the best results from this type of workout.
I totally agree with you on the point that there is some merit to a solid hour workout. There definitely is. When I followed the Muscle Explosion program for 28 days the workouts were from 20 to 60 minutes and I achieved phenomenal results.
I also love to incorporate the quick HIIT style of cardio along with long duration cardio.
Bottom line… there’s merit to many forms of training. 7 Minute Muscle is not something that I will follow year round. There’s no program that I will follow year round.
My workout books include a full year of quick workouts and a full year of longer workouts, yet I still enjoy following other programs.
You’ve got to find the programs that suit your lifestyle and that you enjoy and you’ve got to mix it up. But more than anything, if something isn’t working for you after 4 to 6 weeks, you better find another program.
When you find something that works and that you enjoy you simply keep it in your arsenal of programs. But never do the same thing all the time.
I’ll definitely keep you informed on my progress. It’s what I love to do
Is there a program that’s working for you right now?
Does this workout need to be in a gym, or can I do it at home with only free weights? Seven minutes sounds good (I’ve used Ryan Lee’s 4 minute exercises) but I need a home program, not a gym one. Thanks!
I know thousands of fitness professionals and I can tell you there is NO ONE more honest and forthcoming as Scott is. You’ll be hard-pressed to find anyone on this planet who more sincerely wants people to live get healthy and live an amazing life.
Just wanted to throw that out there so people know how truthful Scott’s reviews are. If there was ever a doubt
even if you dont use every other day diet does 7 minute muscle alone come with a diet. it says on the page of his website that you dont have to eat 6 meals a day whats that about?
What equipment do you need for this workout? Is this something you are able to do at home?
