Hello everyone! Wow it’s been a very L O N G time since I have blogged about my fat loss journey. I am a big fan and life long follower of The Every Other Day Diet – Lifestyle Plan. A lot has happened here at our home and YES I have some “EXCUSES†as to why I have not written for so long, lol…

On a good note, we have been on some small family vacations. I love these times and try not to have any distractions when I am away with my family.
On a sad note, we lost a very loved family pet. Our cat, Sammi, passed away on November 29. We treated him like our ‘third’ baby and he will be dearly missed. However, we decided to move on and adopt another cat from the Humane Society. It was the best thing we could have done! He is such an energetic little guy. Full of lots of guts and spunk! We love having him here. The kids are so happy to experience the joy that a cat, or any pet for that matter, can bring into your home.
I’m happy to say that I am FINALLY starting to feel more energetic. It’s been about 10 days of battling a sinus infection and sore throat. I have had such little energy! My eating has been let’s say, ‘comforting’. You know those ‘not so good for you’ foods that you want when you are sick: ice-cream, candies, cookies, MORE ice cream….yep I’ve been totally not following my good eating habits.
Combined with not doing any workouts, I must say I cannot wait to get my butt in gear again! I’ve been wanting to workout out so bad but I have had no energy. I tried to one night and it made me feel worse. It’s so important to listen to our bodies, isn’t it? I will be starting up tomorrow again with The Fit Chic’s Year of Workouts. I am doing dropsets right now. They are so intense because I am starting with a heavier weight than I would normally do. I do this for one rep and then I decrease the weight for each additional rep.
I know that this is a lifelong journey for me and I am not losing sight of my goals. I know I want defined thighs and more lean muscle mass. I know I can achieve it! I have the vision. Just because I was sick for a bit doesn’t mean I have lost sight of my goals. The path to our goals will always have distractions. We just need to look at them as ‘minor’ distractions and not barriers. You too will experience this. Remember to keep going forward towards your goal. Even if you cannot workout, that doesn’t mean that you don’t have the ability to eat healthy.
I am beginning to finally realize how important my attitude it towards fitness and life in general, for that matter. Basically, what you achieve in your life is a result of what you ‘expect’ of yourself. Expect great things, and you will achieve great things. I cannot believe I have just blurted that out! I have really developed a stronger sense of control for my life since listening to the 21 interviews titled, Unstoppable Fat Loss, that Scott was so fortunate to gather.
These interviews are enough to make you change your life around as you are listening. I truly felt the impulse to change, and to do it NOW. These amazing people share their life stories in such inspiring ways. They all have their own uniqueness on how they have achieved fat loss and/or how to reach your goals.
I mentioned to Scott the other day that I know I have taken my health for granted. I am so used to having a TON of energy each day. I’ve been so bummed out because I have not been able to get done all that I want these past few days. I’ve learned to appreciate my health more. I know I have days where I don’t want to workout, just out of sheer laziness. I think this has been a wake up call for me because I am not usually without energy for this span of time. I’m telling you, I don’t usually sit down! I really do feel so thankful for having a healthy body to workout.
I have been blessed with a ‘normal’ functioning body. I know there are so many people in this world that would die for 4 working limbs! Think about that…here you and I with a fully functioning body that can achieve maximum health and fitness and we take it for granted each and every day! A huge motivator to help me to stay focused on my fitness goals is APPRECIATION. I am equipped with a fully functioning body and I should be taking care of it like gold.
Having said all of this…I wish you a focused, energy-powered
day…take that first step towards health…
Cheers to health,
Angie
PS I just want you, the reader, to appreciate your health too and really live to your potential each day. Be a role model to your children. Love yourself. Love your body. Go after your dreams!
