Hello…hope everyone has ‘survived’ the holidays! I don’t know how you feel, but I always enjoy all of the different foods. Of course, I love the turkey and stuffing the best!

Now that the holiday visiting is over and all of the desserts are gone, I always look at this time as an opportunity to start ‘fresh’ with my eating and exercising. The New Year is around the corner and it just feels great to start eating ‘clean’ again. I am getting right back to following The Every Other Day Diet – Lifestyle Plan.
The Fit Chic
Today, I woke up feeling very tired. I was woken up by the new addition to our family, our cat, “Charlie” He always wakes up at 5am and wants some chow and attention.

So I did not wake up with great expectations to have the energy to workout. However, after eating a healthy breakfast (oatmeal and blueberries), I felt pretty energized. About an hour after eating I grabbed the weights and did my dropsets from The Fit Chic Year of Workouts program. I felt fantastic afterwards! I was so awake after that!

I was ready to play with my daughter and chase my son around the house! Weight lifting really does get your blood pumping and the energy you feel afterward is undescribeable! I only spend 20 minutes maximum on my workouts. There is no excuses for you to not get moving yourself! You can also go for a nice, brisk walk and listen to an invigorating audio series full of energetic, informative, motivating, and inspiring people. I’m talking about the Unstoppable Fat Loss audio series. I dare you to listen to ONE interview (there are 21) and not be inspired to make a change in your life! It is powerful.

As a Christmas gift, we purchased DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) for our children. Wow, what a fantastic way to get a cardio workout in! Scott and I challenged each other last night and we were sweating buckets! If you have this game for your Playstation 2 you will know exactly what I mean. The reason that I mention this is because cardiovascular training should be fun. You may not enjoy jogging or biking. However, dancing to some heart pumping music in the comfort of your own home may be exactly what you do enjoy doing. I recommend you FIND OUT what you do enjoy for exercise and JUST DO IT! No, Nike is not sponsoring me to say that – I wish!! Lol…When you find what you enjoy, you will love to do it and it will not feel like a chore. You will embrace this time in your day because you enjoy it and know how wonderful you will feel afterward. Think about that today and then get up and do it…your body will love you for it!
