There is absolutely no reason for you to become bored with your cardio program. With the variety of training methods whether it be long duration, HIIT, or any other form of interval training it’s never been easier to add a little spice to your cardiovascular training.

If your cardio program has become stale, I recommend that you perform the bodyweight cardio workout that Craig Ballantyne demonstrates from the Turbulence Training Program by clicking play on this video.

Turbulence Training Bodyweight Cardio

I personally love going for brisk walks first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. It helps me clear my head, prepare for the day, and I usually listen to some educational audios to make the most out of the time.

I enjoy going for mid day bike rides during the warmer months here in Southern Canada. But I also include a variety of interval training and HIIT cardio as well. When I’m really serious about burning fat I will do HIIT and long duration cardio in the same day.

There is no doubt that my weight training sessions are very cardiovascular in nature. During my short burst intense workouts I sweat more, raise my heart rate higher, and am more winded than most people on the cardio machines.

As you can see, I don’t rely on one form of training to produce the fat loss results that I desire. I also want to make my message totally clear by stating that all forms of cardio are effective and the most effective cardio program is the one that you enjoy the most and can stick with for the long term.

It’s always great to try something new and see how your body reacts to it, and measure the enjoyment factor of the workout as well.

The bodyweight cardio workout above is a great routine to incorporate into your program. Give it a shot today and let me know how it felt.

Train hard and enjoy the journey.
