Day 1 – Detox Program

Hello everyone! Yes, I’m doing this AGAIN! I attempted the to do the ‘detoxification’ component of Jon Benson’s Every Other Day Diet Plan (EODD), however I was sick and did not complete it entirely. So here I am again. I am so excited to get the jump start that I need.

If you have never completed a ‘detox’ before, I highly recommend that you do. In Jon’s book, he explains exactly what you eat. It is a gentle cleanse and does not leave you starving for food. It basically gives your organs a break from all the toxins you are likely consuming on a daily basis. You only eat wholesome foods for a week. It is best to do this every 4 months to just clean out your organs and give your body that ‘jumpstart’ it needs to reach your fitness goals. It would be ideal to do a detox before you begin an exercise program because you will find that your body is working more efficiently and the weight will come off faster.
While I am on this detox, I will still go for my walks but I should not do anything strenuous. I may try to modify my workouts from the Fit Chic Year of Workouts so that I am still doing something, but just light weights.

Do you think you’ll miss doing your Fit Chic workouts though?
When you say you go for a walk are you doing it at a pretty fast clip or is it a stroll?
I did not do anything yesterday…today I walked at a lighter pace after I had my fruit. I came home and loved my coffee! I feel great so far…no headaches or complaints. A ‘bit’ weaker, but the cravings are going away…Yes, I’ll definitely miss my workouts! But, I know that once I start doing them again , I”ll get quicker results!
