How About Some ‘Homemade Salsa!’

I made some delicious and healthy salsa yesterday…it is so good and easy to make! If you are looking to add some flavor to your food, this is the trick. It’s even easier if you have a food chopper.

Recipe: 4 large tomatoes, 2 cloves of garlic, 1 jalapeno pepper, onions, and about 1/4 cup of lemon juice. I just chop it all up in the food chopper and presto it’s ready to eat! Sometimes we just need some extra zip or spice to our food…Scott and I have been really enjoying the salsa in many of our foods.
Today I added it to my eggs, salad, and later plan to eat some with pita chips. I just thought I’d share this with you because it is quick to make, very healthy, and is just plain delicious! Having it on top of my salad seemed strange, but I saw Scott do it and thought I’d give it a try. Wow, it was awesome! I usually have a low fat salad dressing. This is an even healthier version to salad.
Do you have any healthy recipes to share with the other fit chics? Please take a few minutes to share them and we can all benefit from each other!
Have a great day!
Cheers to health,
Angie
