Lessons From My 5 Year Old Son… The Unstoppable Fat Loss Mindset

I’d like to share a story of how my 5 year old
son Shayne clearly demonstrated the power of goal
setting and the subconscious mind while we were
on vacation last weekend.
My family and I pulled up to a the village shops
at the base of Blue Mountain with the intention of
doing a little shopping.
When Shayne saw the mountain he immediately said that
he wanted to climb to the top. At that moment we knew
there was no stopping him.
Shayne, my wife Angie, my 3 year old daughter Noelle,
and myself began to climb up the steep ski slope heading
for the top.
We took a few 5 second breaks between my kids
sprinting sessions and after nearly an hour of
dealing with the burning sensation in my thighs
we made it to the top.
We soaked up the pure exhileration of our
accomplishments for a moment before nature called
to my daughter and we had to rush on down to find
the nearest washroom.
That night I told my son to call his grandparents
and tell them of his accomplishment of climbing
to the top of the mountain.
I was blown away with what he said next…
“But we didn’t make it to the top daddy.”
Although we made it to the top of the mountain in
the area we were at (which was very high), he could
see in the distace that there was a higher point
to the mountain.
I could tell that in his mind he had not completed
his goal.
And of course he told me, “Dad, I want to do that
again and make it to the very top.”
We didn’t have time this trip to do it, but I know
when we go back 50 days from now, it will be the
first thing on his agenda.
The lesson here is that when you set a goal, your
brain will not stop until you complete it. Your
brain is a goal achieving machine.
What goal are you going to program into your brain?
YOUR DREAM BODY AWAITS YOU…
