The 28 day journey of packing on serious muscle begins today. Week 1 of the Muscle Explosion program is unlike any other muscle building program that I’ve ever been on. Wait a second… scrap that. The entire program is unlike any other muscle building program on the market. This is totally unique material for you to pack on 5 to 10 pounds of muscle in 28 days.
What makes the first week so different from any other muscle building program is that the calories are severely restricted. I’ll only be consuming about 1000 calories per day. Ya, that’s pretty ridiculous. But there’s a reason for it. Nick calls it the sling shot effect. Basically, I’m depleting my body of it’s glycogen stores for a couple of days, then I’ll give it a bit more carbs and then deplete it some more.
Then for the second week we start loading on the calories. Your body will be soaking it all in. The way that Nick described the process to me makes total sense. Unconventional… Yes! But there sure seems to be some logic behind it. We’ll just have to let my results speak for themselves.
Workout Session For Day 1
Today’s workout was absolutely killer! It was an interval training workout where I would do an exercise and then do 40 seconds of skipping. The only equipment that I needed for today were dumbbells, a stability ball, a skipping rope, standing calve raise machine, and roman chair.
Basically, I took claim to a 6 by 4 foot area in front of the dumbbells for the first 30 minutes of the workout where I would be going back and forth between my dumbbell exercises and the 40 seconds of skipping.
I threw on my headphones and got in ‘my mental training zone‘ with the audio that I listen to during every workout session, which is the Attraction Accelerator mp3. This music along with the isochronic tones that tap into the part of my brain that boosts my energy and focus really gets me pumped up and puts me in the right frame of mind to give my workout absolutely everything that I’ve got.
After the 30 minutes of interval training I finished off the workout focusing on my core, the lower back, and my rotator cuff. Nick says that he’s heard of many people that have their shoulder problems relieved as a result of the Muscle Explosion program. That’s good news to me because I’ve got a nagging left shoulder problem that has really hindered my results in the past.
To be honest, I experienced absolutely no shoulder pain during this workout and it feels great as I’m typing right now.
The workout was complete in 40 minutes and I was completely soaked. I’m serious when I say that there was not a dry spot on my shirt.
I really enjoyed this workout. It was extremely challenging, high energy, and I was constantly moving. Oh I forgot to mention… no rest at all during this 40 minute session. Nick’s idea of rest is the 40 seconds of skipping between exercises. HA!
I definitely got some looks from the other guys in the gym wondering what I was up to. They never saw me walk in with a skipping rope before, and to not take a break at all was completely unheard of to them.
I can’t wait for tomorrows workout!

There are many of you who are participating in this challenge with me. I look forward to hearing how your first day went and how you are progressing. Please share your comments about your progress right here in each of my blog posts.
If you own a copy of Muscle Explosion send me an email at scotttousignant@gmail.com along with your clickbank receipt number and I’ll send you the interview that I recently did with Nick Nilsson, the creator of the Muscle Explosion program.
In this interview Nick went into great detail about how to get maximum results from his program. I totally picked his brain and he revealed everything. Honestly, this was probably the best interview that I’ve ever conducted, and Nick revealed more than any other expert that I interviewed in the past. This is seriously a must hear interview if you own the Muscle Explosion program.
If you don’t have a copy of Muscle Explosion you can check it out here…
This is going to be one heck of a journey. I’m loving it so far, but I have a feeling that I will be cursing Nick soon.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Have a 6 Pack Abs-Solutely amazing day!
