There’s No Excuse For Why You Are Not Experiencing Fat Loss Success

I’ve never accepted anyone’s excuse as to why they are not currently living in a vibrant and healthy body. It’s honestly the best thing that I can do for anyone who wants to improve their health. By biggest reason for not accepting any excuses is because there is always someone out there who is going through exactly what you are and they are still achieving fat loss success. And I guarantee that there are thousands of people out there who are worse off than you are, and they too have been able to achieve fat loss success.
Now I’ve got an even bigger reason for not accepting any excuses…
If you’ve been following my blog for any time you would have noticed that I have been documenting my journey on several fitness programs. My reason for this is #1 to hold myself accountable, #2 To inspire others to take action, and #3 to prove to you that many programs out there really do work when you put forth your very best efforts.
I followed and documented my journey on The Every Other Day Diet Plan and burned 14% body fat off of me. My wife Angie did the same and burned 6% body fat while following the less stricter version of The Every Other Day Diet.
We put forth our best effort. We didn’t strive for perfection, we just did the best that we could and we achieved phenomenal results.
During that time we also proved how effective our 10 minute express workouts are in The Fit Chic and The Fit Bastard year of workouts.
Then I documented my journey on Nick Nilsson’s Muscle Explosion program and gained 6 1/2 pounds of muscle in 28 days. That was a massive achievement for me. Muscle Explosion forced me to step outside of my comfort zone. The program required me to do things that I had never done and never dreamed of doing. But I did it and I reaped the rewards.
Now I’m about to embark on Jon Benson’s 7 Minute Muscle program and put it to the test. I wasn’t planning on using 7 Minute Muscle for a few months, but Jon dared me to take on his challenge and prove how effective his program is. I’ve read through it and it certainly looks like one heck of a program. I can’t wait to see the results that it produces.
Now over this past weekend I had the opportunity to read through Craig Ballantyne’s new program called Turbulence Training For Abs. This is by far Craig’s best work. He impressed the heck out of me with this program. He covered all bases in this one with incredible workouts, great nutrition advice, and a wicked motivational component.
My point is that there are incredible resources at your disposal. There are amazing workout programs that really work. There are outstanding nutrition programs that will help you burn fat in a healthy way. There are motivational programs like Unstoppable Fat Loss that teach you how to build a mindset for success.
Most likely you have at least one of this programs sitting on the hard drive of your computer but you are not using them to their fullest potential. If that sounds like you, then honestly, you have what you need, you just need to apply it.
These programs work! Many other programs WORK! But are you working the program?
No excuses. Lets get down to business and get you living in the body that you deserve.
Your dream body awaits you…

Will you be running a contest concurrent with your using of 7-minute muscle? Are you still thinking of starting another Muscle Explosion contest on 8/4?
“I’ve never accepted anyone’s excuse as to why they are not currently living in a vibrant and healthy body.” So you say, then how about someone who weighs in at 156kilos, 6′3″, fat and flabby. Little by way of strength, can’t even pick the kid up next door. Someone who needs to rest after having a shower or making the bed; who needs to sleep 5 or 6 times a day. Someone who finds it a little difficult to exercise.
Oh, i ought to point out that i have cancer (non-Hodgkins Lymphoma), 1 lung and that has its own problems. 8 years ago they said i would be dead soon and then took out a lung (kindly souls), so 2 bouts of chemo and more surgery later i am still here teetering on the edge. 59 years old. Dying but not dead. Unemployable. Oh there is a basket of other things that get in the way some of which are genetic, e.g. Peyronie’s Disease, Dupytren’s Contracture (makes it a bugger to hold a lift bar), and others come from self-abuse, e.g. osteo-arthitis – why sure i can lift that engine type crap.
Not so much excuses for not living in a healthy vibrant body as REASONS maybe?
It’s good to see more and more people on the Internet who aren’t putting up with the standard 100% bullsnot excuses.
I’m so freakin’ sick and tired of people complaining about their lack of time. If people took even 15 minutes off their beloved TV time they’d at least start on the road to a better life.
It’s easy to complain. It’s hard to get your butt to work.
Dream BIG, set goal, create a plan and take action!
Hi Scott checking in today. This morning I walked 2 miles for 1 hr. I do this 3x a week. Tomorrow I do weight training for 30 and cardo for 1 hr.Today I will have fish, and a small salad for dinner.I need to loose 23lbs I am trying for 5 now maybe it will be easier to set small goals than larger one for now.
Scott & Angie,
I just want to let you both know what amazing infuences you have been to myself and my personal training business (Pure Inspiration). Scott you have helped me to get started volunteering in my community, and the joy I now receive and the benefits these fantastic people get is outstanding. Your are both my mentors, and my clients are certainly all gaining from me finding you both.
If I could hop on a plane an give you both a big hug I would. So consider you have had a long distance hug from me and all my clients.
Authentically yours

Three hours of gardening yesterday and did that have me sore! But I still got to the gym for a half hour of water aerobics, quarter mile of swimming and a half hour of water walking. Late thanks to a call from the landscaping people who wanted to stop by real quick. Easier to say yes than try and schedule at a later point, but I still got my exercise in.
Just wanted to stop by and say thanks. Your site keeps reminding me what I want to do.
Response to Tom:
Obviously, Scott and Angie were NOT speaking to people like yourself, who are incapacitated due to exteme illness. They are speaking to the people who make tons of excuses, and YES, they are excuses! I’ve done it myself lately. I work the overnight which is not a problem as I was hitting the gym 5 days a week. Then I ‘inherited’ the grandchildren. Because of work, going to school, AND now having two grandchildren (one of them living with me) to be responsible for, the first thing that went was my motivation to go to the gym! But recently, I have been reading my Fit Chic literature and saying to myself “Scott is right! There is no reason that I can’t get back to the gym even with the little bugger!”. So when I get paid, I am getting him a kids klub membership and no matter how tired I am, I’m going! I had lost 60lbs already. I’m getting to goal!
It is totally understandable that, when riddle with any type of illness/disease it makes it difficult. There is a woman with CF at our gym and she doesn’t make it all the time. But she always says how much better she feels. I surely hope that you regain strength and energy. Maybe light exercise could help. I’m no doctor and I’m not you so I don’t know. But again, they are not speaking to someone like YOU when they say no excuses. They are speaking to someone like me!
Good luck!
For Tom Mitchell – you have challenges, to be sure, but they do not mean achieving a greater level of health is not possible, just that you need to get creative
Scott wants us to look for a way through – or around, over or under! There is a lot of info out there, and many who will help you get to where you want to go IF you are willing to believe that and make whatever moves you can in that direction. I for one would love to see you move along the road to better health, and I totally believe it can be done. You have to think outside the square. Would you like some help?? (I have ideas…
Thank you so much for the comments everyone. I really love the back and forth conversation.
Scott I was planning on following Nick’s Muscle Explosion in August, but Jon Benson issued me a challenge that I couldn’t pass up to follow his 7 minute muscle program.
Maybe I’ll run 2 challenges at the same time. I’m a man of my word and I said that I would hold another contest for Muscle Explosion in August, so I better do that. Plus I really want to see the results that the rest of you get on the program.
To Tom:
I really appreciate the comment and for putting things into perspective with the varying degrees of challenges that we face.
I hope that I don’t come across as not being a compassionate person when I say that I don’t accept excuses from anyone. I’m totally doing it because I care for you and want the best for you no matter what challenges you are faced with.
I’m sitting here at Disney World Florida in my hotel room with my wife and kids. It’s 6 am and the kids are still sleeping. Right now I’m counting my blessings that I am able to be here with them and that we are all healthy.
If I could take away your hardships and disease Tom I certainly would. My thoughts and prayers are with you and we are wishing you a full recovery where you pull through stronger than ever.
For the people who own my Unstoppable Fat Loss motivational audio program, they would have a pretty darn good idea of what I’m talking about.
One of the interviews was with John Riccio. He is in his 40’s and is surviving through Cerebral Palsy.
John has had over 75 surgeries now. He’s been declared dead on the operating table before. He’s wheel chair bound. Yet he has continuously been able to create a physique that I’ve never been able to achieve.
Every surgery sets him back to a place that was worse off than before and he continues to push ahead.
There have been times when I’m on the phone with him and he has to put the phone down because one of his tubes came lose and is shooting blood all over the place.
John does not accept his disease as a reason to hold him back. He’s living in the best possible health that he can and he’s in better shape than me.
Instead of looking for sympathy John requests that we all use him as an example of what is truly possible when we test our limits.
John wants us to see that the weak excuses that most of us are using like, I don’t have enough time, I have a slow thyroid, I have bad genetics, are all nothing compared to what he’s faced and he’s still been able to achieve a physique that 97% of the population has not been able to achieve.
And John is not the only story that I’ve seen like this. There are many more people who have faced great obstacles and pull through in great health.
That’s where I’m going with this post. It’s not meant to be uncompassionate.
Tom, I’m here for you man. Let us all know what we can do to help you rise back up to the top.
Thank you once again everyone. I love you all!
Scott Tousignant
Absolutely man, there is no excuse. Being a personal trainer it gets tiring hearing all the excuses of not enough time, money or motivation to achieve the body they want. It is all up to there dedication and priorities.
I just got my download and this looks like a lot of fun and I’m really excited to get started. Problem is that you gave so much info that I’m kind of confused! Are you able to give a little step-by-step tutorial? Admittedly I haven’t read all the info….there is ALOT! Some guidance wouldbe appreciated.
Thanks,
Kirsten
Like Kirsten, I’ve just signed up for the 21 day challenge & I haven’t downloaded everything yet, waiting for my new internet connection to get connected- on the surface, there seems to be a lot of overlap – multiple products that do similar things – very overwhelming.
Where are we supposed to start?
