I value your readership, I cherish your trust, and I respect you and your livelihood. I pride myself on being upfront and honest with you. I’ve shared some pretty deep details about my life and in return, you have let me into your lives as well. For that, I am truly grateful.

I’m 100% committed to your success and you flat out deserve the very best information that I can deliver. Sometimes that information comes from a recommendation of another fitness professionals program. Why? Well there are at least 2 reasons that I can think of. First of all, I know that I don’t have all the answers and I don’t know every single ‘secret’ or advanced fat loss strategy. I may know a lot, but I don’t know everything.

The second reason that I recommend another fitness professionals program is because I’ve actually used it to help transform my body. When I achieve outstanding results from a diet or exercise program I believe that it’s my obligation to inform you about it.

Well right now I am experiencing some great success with a fantastic program that quite frankly I’ve become addicted to. That program is 7 Minute Muscle.

In the video below I give my 100% honest review of yet another incredibly effective program that has been created by a great buddy of mine, Jon Benson. Please take a few minutes to listen to what I have to say about the program…

Here’s the deal behind 7 Minute Muscle. There’s actually 3 different levels… 7 minutes, 14 minutes, and 21 minutes. I’m currently following the 7 minute protocol and honestly can not even imagine what the 14 minutes will be like. 7 minutes is more than intense enough for me right now.

The workouts really are just 7 minutes and you do them 5 times per week for a total of 35 minutes. But is 7 minutes of resistance training really enough to develop a great physique?

Here’s where I get seriously honest. The title of the book is 7 Minute Muscle, but to get maximum results the 7 Minute Muscle Program recommends 9 minutes of GXP (Graded Exercise Protocol) cardio several times per week. If you really want to skyrocket your results you should go for a brisk walk for 30 minutes first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.

This is exactly what I’ve been following. When a program says, “For best results”, you better believe that I’m going to follow that protocol.

But…

As you may have heard, you can not out work a poor nutrition program. Which basically means even with an amazing workout program if your nutrition sucks, positive results will be hard to come by.

That’s what makes 7 Minute Muscle so great. Jon has actually created a bundled package which includes his Every Other Day Diet Plan. This is the same nutrition plan that I followed to burn 14% body fat off my physique.

7 Minute Muscle and The Every Other Day Diet Plan pack a powerful one-two punch.

I will be following both programs for several more weeks before I either go back to following my personal routines, or experiment with another program. As I mentioned earlier, I’m addicted to Jon’s program right now.

As intense as the workouts are, it’s still just so darn easy to follow. I love getting in and out of the gym fast and I love how I feel at the end of the workout. Not to mention the results that I’ve been getting.

Now for more honesty… there is a learning curve to 7 Minute Muscle. It took me about a week to choose the proper weight to lift for the exercises. It also took me a few days to get used to keeping track of the reps and rest in addition to connecting my mind with my muscles.

Oh ya! That’s another cool feature of 7 Minute Muscle. The 3 flow process. This is where you engage your mind to your workout and it begins before you even step foot into the gym. This process has definitely increased the performance of each of my workouts.

Now for even more honesty… Is the 7 Minute Muscle program for anyone and everyone? Absolutely not! Both men and women will benefit from the program, but you have to be willing to push yourself every time that you step foot into the gym.

Each week you have to improve upon your results from the previous weeks workout. You can do this by performing more total reps or increasing the weight. There’s a learning curve to this as well, but it’s a pretty darn fun thing to learn.

To sum things up and based on my personal experience with the 7 Minute Muscle program, I give it a solid 2 thumbs up and highly recommend that you incorporate it into your yearly training program, and I totally recommend that you use the Every Other Day Diet Plan in combination with it.

By the way, Jon is doing something really cool today. He’s doing an all day LIVE teleseminar event where you get to ask Jon and other experts your most pressing questions.

I’ll be the first guest speaker and I will be sharing the successes that I’ve experienced with both the 7 Minute Muscle and the Every Other Day Diet Plan. I look forward to answering your questions and grilling Jon with some of my own.

You can learn more about the 7 Minute Muscle Program and get in on the LIVE all day teleseminar event by visiting…

Have an amazing day!

Sept 29th I turn 33 years old and to celebrate I’m going to reward 3 women and 3 men with the Unstoppable Fat Loss Ultimate Package. The winners will be selected by the amount of passion, clarity, and drive that they have toward achieving their fat loss goals. There’s no better way to determine how serious you are about sculpting the body that you deserve, than writing out your mission statement.

The most successful people that I’ve come across have all written out their mission statements. If you have been brushing off this powerful motivation strategy, the Unstoppable Fat Loss Birthday Contest will give you the kick in the butt to finally put it into action.

To enter the Unstoppable Fat Loss Birthday Contest all you have to do is share your mission statement with us in the comment box below. But I don’t want it to be some broad mission statement. I want to hear what your mission is in the next 21 days.

Don’t be afraid to dream big and write a bold mission statement. Allow me to kick things off with my personal mission statement for the next 21 days.

Scott Tousignant’s mission statement to achieve Unstoppable Fat Loss is…</h3

Today is October 15th and I am totally fired up to share the exciting news that I have melted 2% body fat from my physique! The hard work and dedication to living an unstoppable lifestyle in optimum health has paid off big time.

These past 21 days have brought me much closer to my long term goal of achieving 4% body fat by January 8th 2009 when I will be enjoying a Caribbean Cruise with Angie and many of my Unstoppable Fat Loss friends.

It has been the constant reminder of my ultimate goal or destiny of reversing the obesity trend that has inspired me to take action each and every day. I want to leave a legacy of helping millions of people transform their body and live in optimal health. Being a positive role model is the best tool in helping me fulfill my life’s purpose.

Today, my pants are much looser and Angie has been taking notice of the new definition in my abs. I suspect that this could be part of the reason for the new spark in our relationship. I feel sexy and Angie lets me know I’m sexy too.

My kids Shayne and Noelle keep flexing their muscles and have been grabbing for more fruit and veggies since they have been seeing me eating them constantly throughout the day. They love the fact that their mom and dad run around the yard and play games with them all the time.

It’s been the small improvements each and every day that have made the difference. I haven’t been striving for perfection, I have just been aiming to become better today than I was yesterday.

I’m loving life, I love my family, I love my friends, and I love myself. What more could I ask for?

So there you go. That’s my mission statement for the next 21 days. What’s yours?

Start your comment off below with the sentence: {your name}’s mission statement to achieve Unstoppable Fat Loss is…

I will select 3 women and 3 men as the winners of my Unstoppable Fat Loss Ultimate Package. If you already own Unstoppable Fat Loss I will do a 1 hour phone consultation with you to take your fat loss success to the next level.

Let me hear those mission statements. Don’t hold back!

LL Cool J has one of the best physiques in the music industry. His 40 year old body puts most 20 year old physiques to shame. So how does LL Cool J achieve 6 pack abs? A large part of his training incorporates 35 minutes of cardio several times each week.

I can hear you shouting at me already, “What, long boring cardio. I don’t want to do that!” Yep, that’s the voice of a brainwashed industry that is being constantly bombarded with emails from fat loss experts preaching that long duration cardio is the devil!

Here’s My Stance On
Long Duration Cardio For Fat Loss

The best physiques in the world have been created by incorporating long duration cardio into their fat loss program. We’re talking about the people who achieve single digit body fat percentage and even the low range of under 4% body fat.

I honestly believe that it’s a grave mistake to completely avoid long duration cardio. And personally, I don’t think that it’s boring. 30 minutes of clearing my head, planning my day, visualizing my goals, and thinking of my future and past successes all while riding my bike along the edge of the river, hiking along a beautiful trail, or jogging through the forest, is heaven on Earth for me!

Hey, I love HIIT as well and I incorporate 9 to 15 minutes of it several times per week in addition to long duration cardio and resistance training.

There are just way too many examples of amazing physiques that have been achieved by including long duration cardio into the program to avoid it. And please don’t give me the lack of time excuse. You want to lose belly fat and get a flat stomach or even 6 pack abs don’t you? Well pull yourself up out of the chair and get your butt moving!

Do what the people who have 6 pack abs do. You’ve seen the abs on Angie and I haven’t you? We do long duration cardio and we don’t look like a frail Kenyan marathon runner.

If 35 minutes of cardio is good for LL Cool J, it’s good enough for me. He’s got a physique that I admire and aim to achieve.

Your 6 pack is calling you. Answer the door!

You may be surprised when you find out what the #1 fat loss strategy is when you want to achieve permanent results. When it comes to weight loss we all know that we need to improve our diet and increase the amount of physical activity that we do each day. And lets face it, the reason why we reduce our calories and exercise more is for vanity. We want to look better right? Hey, I’m right there with you on that. But looking better and getting 6 pack abs is just a surface reason for losing weight.

In the video below you will see my buddy Rob Poulos, the creator of The Fat Burning Furnace, put me through a powerful exercise that brings me to the ‘core reason’ why I want to reach my goal of 4% body fat by January 8th, 2009.

This exercise is the #1 strategy for fat loss in my opinion and it is an absolute must if you expect to maintain your results or take it a step further and improve upon them for future success.

Discover The #1 Fat Loss Strategy

Applying this strategy is a surefire way to get you to take action immediately… as well as on a consistent daily basis. In fact, when I was on the treadmill this morning doing some 9 minute GXP cardio I went through this strategy in my head and was able to increase the intensity of my workout because of the surge of energy from this emotional boost.

Rob’s core reason became magnified recently by the near death experience that I shared with you the other day. If you haven’t watched the video of the near fatal accident that involved Rob and his two young children, you need to check it out now! It may be the wake up call that you need.

I strongly urge you to watch the video here: Rob’s Core Reason For Fat Loss

Rob’s new found core reason for living in optimal health has inspired him to declare 2008 “The Year Of Taking Action”

Rob is providing you with the nudge to take action by including the best bonus bundle that I’ve ever seen. But you need to take immediate action. This bonus bundle is only available until Thursday Sept 11th at 11:59pm EST.

Join Rob, myself, and thousands of others by declaring 2008 the year that you took action towards the body and life that you deserve.

Join us at www.MyFatBurningFurnace.com

PS I’ve been observing the expressions on the faces of Ryan and Sarah (Rob’s kids) as they watch the video of the near fatal accident that they were involved in and it’s obvious to see that they’ve learned just how precious life is.

That’s pretty young to be learning that kind of lesson, but I’m sure that they will take this experience as Rob has, and inspire the people around them to go after their dreams today and not put them off until tomorrow.

Watch that powerful video here: End Procrastination Today!

PPS Be sure to apply the #1 Fat Loss Strategy today. This is a powerful exercise that you must incorporate into your program.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your fat loss journey,

I have been putting a great amount of emphasis on taking action towards your fat loss goals lately. So much so that I added 21 new interviews to the Unstoppable Fat Loss program specifically on this very topic. One of those interviews is with a close friend and colleague of mine Rob Poulos, the creator of The Fat Burning Furnace.

I interviewed Rob because he has first hand experience with why we should not put off our fat loss goals until tomorrow. Recently Rob was involved in a freak of nature car accident with his 2 little kids Sarah who is nearly 7, and Ryan who will turn 3 this year. They are adorable kids full of energy and a zest for life.

I’ve been spending some time visiting Rob and his family and we were sitting in his kitchen late at night, drinking a protein shake (seriously), and talking about the impact that this experience has had on their family.

Rob’s beautiful wife Kalen was quick to jump in and share the experience through her eyes as she was the only one who was not in the car. The crazy thing is that the accident happened so close to home.

I could share all the heart tugging and tear jerking details with you here, but I’ve got something that will have a greater impact on you and really allow the details of this event sink in for you and exactly what it means to your fat loss success.

You really have to watch this video to see how freaky the accident was and to see exactly what Kalen was thinking when she realized that she was merely 1 second away from losing her family, the people who mean most to her in her life.

Watch this powerful video now by clicking on this link: Achieve Fat Loss NOW!

One of the positives that has come from this near death experience is that Rob and his family refuse to put off their dreams until tomorrow. They act on them today.

Rob has become inspired into taking what he has learned from this experience and passing the powerful message of the importance of TAKING ACTION NOW onto you.

He is doing so by declaring 2008… The Year Of Taking Action!

Rob is prepared to give you that jump start or kick in the pants to get you up out of your seat and into the fat loss game and he’s going all out to make sure that no one gets left behind.

When you join his top notch fat loss program “Fat Burning Furnace” before Thursday September 11th at 11:59pm EST you will receive 12 incredible action taking bonuses to help you achieve fat loss success when combined with his world class program.

I’ve actually gone through all the bonuses while visiting Rob here, just to check out the quality information that they contain. I already know that the Fat Burning Furnace is top notch because I’ve actually used it on myself with success. But I wanted to see just how great these 12 bonuses were.

The #1 bonus “Relax and Become A Fat Burning Furnace” is unbelievable! I was listening to it with Rob. Our friend Jim Katsoulis created this bonus specifically for the Fat Burning Furnace program and to show his support for Rob’s mission of making 2008 the year of taking action.

I also took some time to watch the videos that are included in the 3x Abs bonus. I was totally impressed. You guys and gals are going to love it.

The entire bonus package is better than any offer that I’ve ever seen and I’m proud to be one of the contributors to this bundle because I know the information contained within the entire program will help you succeed in achieving your fat loss goals.

I recommend that you jump on this incredible opportunity along with the hundreds of others who are climbing on board and declaring 2008 the year that they take action as well.

Do not put your fat loss goals off until tomorrow. They are worthy of taking action on NOW!

Get your copy and the bonuses here… Fat Burning Furnace Action Taking Offer

Since I’m spending some time with Rob and his family, we decided to put our own little video together for you. You can take a moment to watch it or come back after you watch the powerful video that will surely spark your desire to take action immediately towards your fat loss goals.

Rob has promised me that we will do another video in the next day or two where he will share one of his techniques or strategies that will get you to take immediate inspired action toward your fat loss goals.

Be on the lookout for the video tip in the next 48 hours.

Go after your dream body NOW!

When it comes to the HIIT vs Long Duration Cardio debate, the HIIT extremists as I call them, are bombarding you with the words, ‘stop doing long boring cardio‘ and ‘long duration cardio will hurt you‘. Once again, I have to question if they have your best interests at heart. You never hear them mention that HIIT training can be harmful to people with certain body types. You also very rarely hear about the health benefits of long duration cardio. I’m going to share just one of the stories from one of my readers, as well as a very informative 14 minute interview with Kevin Gianni below. I encourage you to read on.

Is Long Duration Cardio Really Boring?

To some people, sure it is. And that’s what makes HIIT training so appealing to many people. I admit, running on a treadmill can be pretty darn boring. But running through a forest, on a nice river front trail, or a beautiful park setting can be an uplifting experience.

But cardio is not just jogging. As I’ve mentioned before, I prefer to bike. On my 30 minute bike rides down my winding county road which follows the narrow Belle River, I am certain to see some pretty amazing things along the way. I regularly witness a fox chasing a rabbit, deer running along side me, geese honking and splashing around on the river’s edge, and the simplicity of the horses, cows, and donkey’s that I see along the way.

I guarantee that my 30 minute bike rides contributed to burning the 14% body fat that I recently discarded. And for people to tell me to stop doing something that’s been effective for them and that they actually enjoy is doing a disservice in the battle of obesity.

A Fit Chic’s HIIT Experience

Every day I get at least one email or one post in my support communities from people who are frustrated and confused in regards to this cardio debate. The hype about HIIT has been poured on so strong that it’s been causing people to give up what they enjoy and instead do something that they don’t enjoy because all these experts are telling them to stop doing long duration cardio even though it’s been effective for them.

A Fit Chic member posted her question in the support community and was dizzy with confusion. She had been experiencing fantastic results with long duration cardio incorporated into your workout program and she was enjoying it. But the hype got to her. Being told to “Stop doing long duration cardio because it’s a waste of time” finally sucked her in.

Two weeks of HIIT and two doctors visits later she was ordered to stop HIIT training. It was injuring her and weakening her immune system.

Plus it took all the fun out of exercise. She was dreading her HIIT sessions. But because these experts were pounding it down her throat, she continued with it because this must be the solution to fat loss. Little did she know that she already had the solution. What she was doing was working.

HIIT Evangelists Do Long Duration Cardio Too

The ironic thing is that I know for a fact that there are many HIIT evangelists out there that do triathlons and marathons. Now why is that? I know for some of them it’s because they enjoy it, it’s a new challenge, they do it for a cause, and it’s all a part of living in optimal health.

If they are doing it, why the heck are they telling you to stop?

Hot & Cold Body Types

In the interview below that I did with Kevin Gianni, he shares some great information about body types and which form of exercise would work best for you based on your body type. For example, if you are a ‘hot’ body type, HIIT will actually put stress on your body. This is exactly what happened to The Fit Chic member above and has been experienced by many others within my support communities.

The message that I’m trying to get across here is to listen to your body and listen to yourself. If you are doing something that you enjoy like I enjoy riding my bike, you will stick to it. When it comes to fat loss it’s all about compliance.

If you jogging hurts you or is boring to you, try something different. If HIIT hurts you, try something different. There is no one single solution. The solution is to do what you enjoy and to do what works for YOU!

As I’ve mentioned before, I love both HIIT and long duration cardio. Incorporating both into my program has worked best for me. It’s up to you to find the right balance for yourself.

Take the time to listen to this 14 minute interview with Kevin Gianni. Then share your experiences with HIIT and long duration cardio. Are you overwhelmed and confused? Did you stop long duration cardio because of all the hype with HIIT?

Share your thoughts and opinions… they truly matter and could have a great impact on many peoples lives.

Also, I recommend that you take the time to visit Kevin Gianni’s blog called Renegade Health…
www.RenegadeHealth.com Kevin loads his blog full of amazing content every day. His videos are fantastic and he truly has your best interests at heart.

He also has a fantastic program that’s all about water. Ya, you know the most vital component to health and well being. It’s definitely worth your while to check this program out. You can learn more about it by visiting…

www.UnstoppableFatLoss.com/water.php

Enjoy the audio and have an awesome day!

There is no doubt that lack of time plays a critical role in whether or not you will ‘fit in‘ your workout or not. In today’s society most of us seem to be running around with our heads cut off. Busy is often an understatement. And once again, many fat loss marketers will play off of this and hit on all those emotions that come with having a busy lifestyle. How can anyone possibly have time to fit in a 30 minute jog into their day?

In my humble opinion, in an effort to sell their programs they are reaffirming your self limiting belief that you have no time to workout. You certainly won’t get that from me. Angie and I know what it takes to get 6 pack abs and it’s not just a few minutes a day three times per week. Even these other fat loss experts know that, they just hide it in their ‘fine print’.

As I mentioned in HIIT vs Long Duration Cardio Part 1, most of these quick workout programs tell you to do 30 minutes of activity on your off days. Why don’t they just tell you that up front?

So lets face it. It takes effort, intensity, honesty, and time to get a nice set of 6 pack abs. On our journey to 6 pack abs Angie and I started off weight training, HIIT training, and long duration training for a total of 3 hours per week. The last 6 weeks we cranked it up to 5 1/2 hours per week.

It’s Not About The Time… It’s About Your Priorities

There are 168 hours in the week. Don’t tell me that you don’t have 3 hours to dedicate to your health and fitness. And don’t tell me that increasing it to 5 1/2 hours per week for 6 weeks would take away from the things that matter most to you in life.

That’s a bunch of crap. If watching Gray’s Anatomy, Oprah, or whatever reality show is on every night matters more to you then your health, then why the heck are you even trying to get into better shape in the first place?

I’m going to be blunt and honest here. I’ve heard people say that they refuse to sacrifice time with the kids in order to get in some extra cardio. I have 2 young children myself, but I realize that the time I spend taking care of my health means that my children will have more time to spend with me because I will live a longer more vibrant life.

The time that I do spend with my kids will be true quality time because I will be giving them the very best ‘me’ that I could possibly give them. For example, yesterday I spent 45 minutes chasing my 7 year old son, 5 year old daughter, and my 3 young nieces and nephew around the yard with squirt guns. We wrestled, we pretended we were characters in Kung-fu Panda, and we had a non stop good time.

If I did not place my health as a priority, I would have been winded after 5 minutes at the pace we were going at. My kids would not have had the nearly endless pleasure of soaking dad. If I didn’t place my health as a priority I would be robbing my children of the father that they deserve.

Hey, I’ve done that before. When I was 35 pounds heavier and thinking that spending more time in the office to make more money for them, coming home stressed out and depressed, I was non existent as a father. That sucked.

I would come home and vegetate in front of the television because I needed that break from reality. And what would I do? Eat! I would skip my workouts to spend what little time that I had with my family. My body was there, but my mind wasn’t. The real ‘me’ was not present. I had no energy, no focus, and no drive to do anything.

Does that sound familiar to you at all? Do you watch television to escape from reality? How much television do you watch? The average American watches over 4 1/2 hours of television per day.

I thought we were too busy? Ya, we are… too busy watching the boob tube! So what you are telling me is that you can’t ‘fit in’ 5 1/2 hours of exercise per week at the extreme end of the spectrum, yet you can watch nearly that much television in one day.

Now many of the fat loss professionals will allow you to use the ‘not enough time’ excuse when it comes to working out, but I 100% refuse to. If you want to live in optimal health and live the life that you deserve in the body that you deserve, you will make the time. You will do whatever it takes. And no you won’t sacrifice your time with your children. You will sacrifice the useless time that you spend doing useless things.

The moment I placed my health as my #1 priority, everything else fell into place. I quit watching television cold turkey. And let me tell you, there were many shows that I was completely addicted to. Surprisingly, this was much easier than I had thought. I couldn’t believe how much more time and freedom that I had in my day. I didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything. In fact I began to think of everything that I was missing out on because I watched so much television. Now we just rent movies once or twice each week.

I also told my friends and family to stop sending me useless junk mail. It’s amazing how much time we waste sifting through the crap in our inbox. If you are going to send me something you better make it useful to me.

Then there’s the parents that have their kids in every sport and after school program imaginable. From the moment they get home until the moment these poor kids crash at 11pm, it’s non stop. Everyone is stressed out. This definitely contributes to weight gain. Not to mention that there’s no time to make dinner so you stop off at a fast food joint instead.

There’s something wrong with that picture if you ask me. Yet this is what millions of people are doing every day and somehow they think it’s ok.

I also hear the excuse that it takes too much time to prepare healthy meals. Angie and I certainly don’t spend much time preparing meals. Nearly every time we make a meal we are sure to make enough to last at least 3 meals. And the meals that we do make on their own usually only take 3 minutes to prepare. Healthy eating can be done quickly.

Back to the cardio. I believe that the best way to burn fat and stick to a fat loss program is to incorporate both HIIT and long duration cardio training. It’s time for you to get yourself organized and make your health a priority. Schedule at least 30 minutes of long duration cardio three times per week, and schedule three 15 minute HIIT sessions per week in addition to your quick weight training sessions.

Long duration cardio does not always mean jogging. I can’t stand jogging any more, and I can’t do it any more since my knee surgery 5 years ago. I prefer riding the bike and I love it. There are so many different things that you can do and I encourage you to mix it up and find the ones that you love.

You’ve got to realize that there is time in your day for fitness. I’ve trained some ridiculously busy men and women over the years. Most of them have been self employed with young children. If anyone could have used time as an excuse, it was them. But I refused to accept that limiting belief from them and they soon refused to accept that limiting belief themselves. Now they are living in fantastic health and are more productive than ever in their business and family life.

No matter what you value in life, health should be your #1 priority. Because without it, you will not be able to do the things that you value in life. It’s time to wake up and give our heads a shake. It’s time to be honest with ourselves. Do you really not have enough time to exercise? Or is that just another excuse.

Long duration cardio is effective for fat loss. It’s worked for me all my life. It’s worked for all my clients. It’s been incredibly effective for countless people out there. But it’s not the only solution and I would never suggest that.

I’m just trying to be the voice of reason here. HIIT rocks and so does long duration cardio. Together along with an intense weight training program, you will become UNSTOPPABLE!

What do you think? Do you still believe that you don’t have enough time for fitness? What do you do to make more time in your day for fitness? I want to hear from you!

You deserve to live in a vibrant and healthy body. It’s waiting for you!

Today marks the beginning of the ’stretch pause’ training of the Muscle Explosion program. For the last remaining 14 days of the 28 days to maximum mass, I will be performing this awesome style of training. You may have heard of rest-pause training which is pretty darn effective. Well Nick’s stretch-pause training puts a wild twist to it and I’m loving it!

I achieved a ridiculous pump during this workout. Today I trained chest, back, biceps, calves, and traps. When I was doing the biceps curls I thought my veins were going to burst through my skin.

When I was holding the stretch position of the exercise I could feel the warmth of the blood rushing through my veins. And then when I finished off with the partial movement I thought I was going to explode.

When I got to the calve exercises my calves cramped up at the top of the first rep. I had to step down and stretch them out. I’ve been drinking loads of water, taking my multi-vitamins, extra vitamin C, and getting enough potassium. Maybe it’s just that they are growing and not used to the extra room that I’m creating for them with the stretching movements.

I can tell that I will need to stretch my calves out big time tonight.

The combination of the full controlled movement, then the full controlled movement with the pause, and then the partial rep movement is absolutely killer.

If this program does slab on significant muscle to my body, I don’t know what will. I consider myself a ‘hard gainer’, and I believe I’ve found the solution to any hard gainers problem. But we’ll have to wait another 13 days to find out

Today is the beginning of week two from the Muscle Explosion Challenge. This phase of the program is called “The Five Day Structural Attack”. Boy does my body ever feel like it’s been attacked today Basically the next five days is ‘controlled over-training’. I have a feeling that my muscles will be screaming at me by the end of the week.

For these 5 days of the program you are to choose one exercise and stick to that one exercise for the entire week. If it’s your first time on the program Nick recommends squats or deadlifts. I chose deadlifts. So today my workout was 20 minutes of deadlifts.

There is no way that any cardio workout could have got my heart pounding this much. I was completely soaked at the end of this workout. I can’t give away all the details of the program as it wouldn’t be fair to Nick, but I’m seeing some great potential with this phase of the program.

Nick calls for specific reps and specific rest for these workouts. Also, through experimenting on himself, he found that if he extended this phase of the workout for one more week, his results actually decreased.

Trust me, this program is calculated strategically for each phase. Nick’s not messing around here and guessing with random numbers.

Today’s 20 minute workout actually flew by. You would think that 20 minutes of deadlifting would drag on. I actually found that I got into a rhythm as the workout progressed. I think a few people were wondering why I was spending so much time in front of the squat rack, but I was too focused to pay much attention to their glances.

What I Ate Today

Oh food, glorious food! It sure has felt great to feed myself. I felt like a bottomless pit today. No matter how much I ate, I just didn’t feel full.

Meal 1: 2 Prograde Cravers Meal Replacement Bars (almond & peanut butter), 3 whole eggs with salsa, Prograde VGF+25 multi-vitamin, Prograde EFA-Icon, 5 grams creatine, 5 grams glutamine

Meal 2: 3 oz chicken breast, egg salad sandwich (3 whole eggs, mayo, 2 slices of whole wheat bread)

Preworkout Meal: warm water with 5 grams creatine and 5 grams glutamine, Prograde Craver meal replacement bar

Postworkout Meal: warm water with 5 grams creatine and 10 grams glutamine, Prograde Workout Recovery shake with 2 extra scoops of protein powder

Meal 5: 2 home made chicken and vegetable enchiladas

Meal 6: Prograde craver bar and a bowl of popcorn

OK, so I really over did it with the Prograde Craver meal replacement bars today, but I just couldn’t stop eating and I still don’t feel full.

The first half of the day I was drinking water like crazy. The ‘all fruit day’ yesterday really flushed out my system and I needed to replace a lot of water. Plus I was out in the sun a lot yesterday.

I actually weighed in this morning 7 1/2 pounds lighter than a week ago, but I noticed it was mostly water weight. I will check my measurements tomorrow for a more accurate reading.

Today’s workout really took a lot out of me, so I am heading to bed early tonight for a good sleep so I can be prepared for the abuse that I will put my body through tomorrow.
